  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah - doesn't sound at all like a schoolkid on work experience! (also - Paul Whitehouse anyone... 😁)
  3. If I remember rightly, it was last year where we were in far too many competitions and played a ton of games whilst having a ton of players out on loan? Or may have been thr srason before where we were in loads of competitions, but either way they might not want to overstretch the youngsters if they still plan to load a fuckton of them out.
  4. If Darragh Tuffy and Paul Butler hadn't essentially switched jobs during the summer, I would have expected it would have been an internal promotion, can't remember the last time it wasnt Sheron was an internal promotion Billy Barr before him also Damien Johnson, was with our U14s before taking the then U23s manager job is 2015 Who was before Johnson? I forget... was it Gary Bowyer? If so he was another internal promotion
  5. Although the let may not be what it once was... It's still the first port of call for legit rovers information for most rovers fans of my age and over The idiots have massively underestimated the influence the let has and what a big traditional part of the club and town it is
  6. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25502945.commitment-blackburn-rovers-coverage-ban/ Love it 🙌 The arrogant useless amateur clowns running rovers have dug their own grave on this onespan widget
  7. Will be interesting who we appoint to that role.
  8. Given he’s now persona non grata he should have included the line ‘at date of publication, these funds do not appear to have been provided to the club’.
  9. yep, they mentioned that after Sheron went, so I didn't think it worth mentioning again
  10. I truly believe they did not publish that to keep the harmony and we are about to see the gloves come off.
  11. Thanks for clarifying. The player liaison officer has posted the following on his linkedin page: 🕐 8 weeks ago I started a new role at Blackburn Rovers FC as First Team Player Care Officer which has been brilliant so far! 🏠 Having been in and around elite football from a young age, I always knew my ambition was to contribute at the highest level. Player care at first-team level is different, but the focus remains the same: building genuine relationships so players and staff know you’re there to support and progress with them. 🇪🇸🇳🇱 Pre-season gave me the perfect chance to do that, with the Spain tour and trip to NEC Nijmegen. Both experiences helped me get to know players as people, their families, backgrounds and preferences - and made the transition smoother. 📝 A big part of my role has been leading on summer signings, from arrivals to inductions. Being a trusted contact, especially for those moving abroad, has been something I’ve really enjoyed. Helping players feel settled off the pitch is key to them performing on it. given this and the number of foreign players we have signed, I think he will play a vital role on getting these players settled and able to perform. with regards to the head of commercial and partnerships, bringing in extra funds and fans, could be vital, especially in the January window, as a vital signing could be brought in or missed, dependent on his success. Granted these two will not be a responsible as the other 3 especially the manager, but none the less, it is important that they perform their duties to the best they can. Hope that answers the question.
  12. Reflects really badly on Man Utd's recruitment team, because it would have been obvious their squad didn't suit that formation either - not just that, but the players they've brought in look no more comfortable playing Amorim's way than the players he inherited. The only positive for them is that when a new manager is finally appointed there, he won't have to worry about disrupting the team by changing the system. Almost anything would suit United's players better than this. I still think it's pitiful when a manager boasts about stubbornly sticking to a system regardless of results, as if that's something to be proud of. It just means you have zero flexibility and a limited understanding of the game as a whole.
  13. To be fair to Ange, he had taken Tottenham to a hugely credible 15th in the Premier League by the end of January window, when he then decided to give up on the league.
  14. A huge own goal! Think it shows how little nous and foresight Gestede and Pasha have.
  15. There has been a long standing assumption that the shadow man is a Venky man. To me this appears to be based not on anything concrete but rather a combination of the fact that he has been around the place throughout Venky ownership, that he originates from South Asia, and that he has a direct line to them. None of the above actually mean he is a Venky man. It would be the natural and logical assumption that he is, but if we think outside the box maybe he isn't a Venky man at all, maybe he's representing other interested parties. His Asian origins may just be coincidence, his 'direct line' to them may be a business arrangement for their management of Rovers rather than him being their dogsbody reporting back every now and again. When we look at things from that angle whilst it may make some feel uncomfortable and might be suggested as implausible it is certainly possible and would stack up with some of the things we have seen. If he was the 'broker' that got Venkys to the table, that they trust and always have done, and this is his project, things start to make more sense. The installation of structures that compete with his little fiefdom - like Mowbray and Venus, Broughton and JDT, Waggott, all to varying degrees handed their own power independent of him - all swept aside. This is how he likes it - just as it was back in 2016/17 after Shaw, Myers and Bowyer had been removed. Whose interests was Waggott representing and acting on? I am inclined to say the Indians, as he was allowed to go out there with Mowbray. I don't think the shadow man has ever liked other people getting a direct line to India and he will stop it whenever he can.
  16. We are advertising for new under 21's head coach.
  17. Only 4 weeks behind.......bless.
  18. Sure, is the player liason officer or head of commercial and partnerships going to the people to blame if we go down? What role have they play in his going down?
  19. It does feel like a threat of some description, so I wonder what the club will do now. This could be a very big own goal if the LT take their opportunity. How much, must they know, that they decided not to publish to retain the harmony?
  20. Today
  21. Can't believe the amount of deluded morons on there
  22. Excellent statement from the LT. Not gone down well with the Club plants in the comments section.
  23. I hope Elliott is claiming for his Fire Stick on expenses. Thank goodness for technology.
  24. The usual nobhead comments from the have your say section. Blaming the reporter. These have to be plants surely
  25. Yep this is where we are at yet again i think. 'Oh we need a complete reset to realise all the assets, reduce the losses and replace with cheaper younger players to grow for the next firesale' ...., also applies to staff behind the scenes. Waggot won't agree to such changes all at once so he's out, now who can we call to do this radical restructure ???? The old regime is back in favour and snouts are back in the trough courtesy of the man from the shadows who has always still been in place.
