  1. Past hour
  2. Be fair, you also have Fadz and Batth who came in and did good jobs.
  3. Dawson = Wes Brown/Gordon Greer and we all know how that ended.
  4. Craig Dawson grew up local, started at Radcliffe Borough, out of favour at Wolves since Christmas, but excellent in both boxes, a real threat from set pieces. Beggars canโ€™t be choosers, 200+ prem games for West Ham, Wolves, WBA etc. After the disaster of deadline day, have to pay him whatever he wants to do a season for us.
  5. Will be paid vastly more in Saudi and tax-free.
  6. Hasn't played since release by Wolves in January.
  7. 100% theyโ€™re too predictable some of our fans need to stop falling for their tripe. Seen one say โ€œfair play to the club itโ€™s an upgrade on Hyamโ€ on social media.
  8. Depends if he's still up to it, a fit Dawson would most definitely be an upgrade, but it's a big if. Pity he wasn't as well as rather than instead of
  9. Today
  10. I don't really know what else to say other than what a bunch of dung-eating fucking wanker arsehole thick bastard classless sociopathic period stain twats. I hope the brakes fail on their wanky limos and they go over a cliff and die a fiery death full of agony. Other than that I'm strictly on the fence
  11. We had an obvious priority at CB once we "lost" Baath and Hyam but, as usual, we haven't treated it as an emergency and addressed it as quickly as possible. Once again scrambling about in the dying embers of a disastrous window. This lot never learn. Should have kept both---obvious.
  12. i love the optimism of our fans ....but the club wont be signing any one half decent on short term or free deals... because they think they have signed decent players (in reality shipped out our decent experienced players who weren't offered a new contract) keep dreaming lads, its going to be a tough season and this transfer deadline day sums it up sell a key player to a club promoted from L1 to help them stay in the league (yes his contract was up after this season) sign ON LOAN a less than key player from a club that came up from L1 ... we are destined for L1 ๐Ÿ˜ž
  13. Also Connor Wickham scored a worldie goal today playing for the 'unattached 11', his name will be banded about and linked to skin flints like us in the next week or so
  14. I agree we shouldnโ€™t be in this position but we are so Iโ€™m talking about our current options he turned Birmingham down on Monday so thatโ€™s not true
  15. Or boycott the rest of the ground, these with a voice pack the JW, turn backs to the pitch and chant constantly at the regime. Too comfortable with most of the noise coming from the end of the ground, in the same stand in front of them really turns up the heat. Even more so whilst on Sky.
  16. He needs to go back to being sub keeper. Ismael (or maybe someone higher up) needs to drop any grudge to avoid us taking a huge risk with a kid as next in line.
  17. Suggested Dawson pretty much as soon as Hyam was out the door, I'd like it to be true but could also just be Nixon putting 2 and 2 together for a story....
  18. I dont think it changes anything "dramatically." Anybody we do sign will take a long while to get fit and considering they are a free agent in September, there will be a reason for that. It would be a desperate signing following the untimely loss of a key player. Whoever if anyone we get still represents a huge downgrade on Hyam.
  19. Lots of smokescreens at the moment. Not daft the two stooges, they know that the pressure is building both in terms of results but more than that the outrageous transfer activity of this summer. Gestede speaking to people via LinkedIn. Hastily organising a 'podcast' or whatever it is with Gestede, Ismael and Owen - attempting to present a united communicative front (of course all questions submitted in advance, cherry picked and rehearsed beforehand). Handing Rhodes a work experience position to charm the fans who remember his goalscoring efforts. Giving Nixon a name or two of targets we are 'after' to replace Hyam. All part of the playbook. None of it actually matters, what matters is offloading quality players that we owned that got us into top 6 contention, trousering the proceeds and gambling away our Championship status.
  20. I want to be positive, I really do. Itโ€™s difficult when weโ€™re going from a 29 year old who was at his peak and one of the first names on the teamsheet until a few days ago to a 35 year old who hasnโ€™t played for 7 months and was so bad that he wasnโ€™t even registered for half a season. The fact that no one else is even willing to take him on a free, with all the money flying around this summer suggests most clubs have seen what Wolves saw when they removed him from the squad.
  21. Itโ€™s quite strange how this Dawson rumor comes out around the same time the disastrous deadline day of Hyam leaving and not being replaced and fans complaining about lack of experience. Probably a smokescreen but would be a good signing although lack of fitness an issue
  22. I thought Hause retired from injury two years ago
  23. And Wolves went from second bottom with 9 points/-19 goal difference to 42 points and 16th in the league. Suggests Dawson was part of the problem and teams clearly havenโ€™t been beating down the door for the last 7 months to sign him
  24. Hause has played approx 20 games in 5 years thatโ€™s a hard hard no and I know the situation we are in Iโ€™d much prefer to gamble on a kid
  25. Donโ€™t disagree wit most of that however two new signings at big prices made and toti was out injured until mid jan or feb Dawson at his age was clearly not at th at required level However dawson at this level and for our obvious needs would be perfect. Why would brum want him if they didnโ€™t think so how realistic or even true it is time will tell
  26. I'd have never agreed in a million years prior to this window. But as we've managed 7-figure fees for JRC, Buckley and another one that skips my memory, it's plausible that we could con someone into paying a million for Calamity.
  27. Understand your point and can see why you think that. On the flip side, shortly after that game you mentioned, their manager was sacked and replaced by Pereira (very end of December) who then clearly made a very quick decision that he wasn't in his plans.
