  1. Past hour
  2. He came in and agreed to work with one hand behind his back whilst toeing the company narrative at all times, on the strength of a 3 year contract. They then, as they've done to most of the previous ones, tied on of his legs as well. He nodded along so it's hard to have any sympathy for the man himself even if you accept he's on a hiding to nothing.
  3. I don’t get it, how is he honest? He seemingly blames anyone but himself and has publicly called out players too. I dislike him and a very poor manager
  4. I don’t mind Val generally. I quite like his honesty and feel he comes across pretty well. My biggest issue with him is how he drinks the club kool-aid and this makes him complicit. I don’t think many managers would be able to perform under these restrictions and Val is either extremely confident in his own ability or just happy to accept a very decent salary. Somehow the club actually did manage to find two managers who were able to perform minor miracles despite the situation, but of course they soon wanted out when they worked out how rotten the club is. Val doesn’t appear to have what it takes, but that’s not really a big criticism as few could. Our squad is also a lot worse than what JDT and JE had to work with. Sacking him would only be rearranging the deck chairs on the HMS Venky.
  5. I’m surprised cantwell stayed in the summer to be honest. Probably be off in January
  6. Re their back four - everybody wants to play when you’re winning. “ How that knock you got last week son, Oh that, it’s nothing boss, I’ll be fine for Saturday “. On the other hand ———-.
  7. The irony is the only way that growing community would ever even remotely engage with the club is if it achieved something in the pitch, I.e Premier League… which of course will *never* happen under this regime. So yes, only one cure whatever way you slice it.
  8. I agree. It was an utterly bonkers decision to hire Postecoglou in the first place as I noted last week. I watched the last 20 minutes of their game today and it was blatantly obvious that he knew his time was up once the final whistle went. The only credit I'll give the Forest owner is that he cut bait quickly. Dyche or Mancini are apparent front runners.
  9. Gave him a chance to redeem, we lose to Sheff United he needs to go
  10. The club doesn't belong to the town anymore it just belongs to faceless corporate names thousands of miles away. The people running it aren't custodians of the club for the town as all before them were they are just installed gravy train riders minding the club for the detached ownership and whoever else is involved. This is the reason beyond all else the town and whole fanbase aren't behind the club and never will be until something changes. And if they think, which i suspect they do, that all that won't matter if they engage the rapidest growing part of the local community to replace lost fans they are deluded even beyond the wildest realms we already see. There's only one real cure to all this.
  11. It was going quite well until they scored, then it was game over. Before the goal Rovers had the better of the chances and aside from struggling to clear the ball now and again the defending looked OK. Rovers have nothing up front. It was slim pickings last season and top scorer Weimann left leaving the cupboard bare. I like Ohashi but he doesn't score near enough and looks isolated. Gueye is not a footballer. The new lads haven't got going, although Ismael's lack of a settled system hasn't helped. The commentator I had on said that Coventry have had the same back 4 all season, Rovers back line today was the 4th game in a row with a change of personnel. That doesn't bode well either. Overall it was a better performance than some I've seen this season, but only points matter, and it was always gong to be hard to get any away to a team who are flying. I may have said it in the Ipswich abandoned game thread but such is how this season is going it would be no surprise to me that the replay will be a must win for Rovers, and they will lose cementing relegation.
  12. It is like their work won’t be complete until our club has been totally and utterly destroyed and Ewood lies in abandoned ruins. A glorious history and systematically dismantled and destroyed within 16 long years, an utter disgrace.
  13. Pasha is unsackable ... if you guys still thinking Vs own us...nobody can help ... Even if Vs wanna walk (they can't till SBI ready to write off debt) , Pasha and Co(KENTARO) will find another disinterested party with credit score to keep going ...
  14. The only person that needs to be out is Pasha........ everything else will follow
  15. I wonder if an esteemed poster still sees him as an ‘excellent’ appointment (he did a few weeks ago)?
  16. Pretty much. Or watered down to the extent they might as well not bother. As you can see the vast majority have been ignored anyway.
  17. Today
  18. Load of ideas there, but then they run into the standard VenkyRovers roadblocks… I.e no money, no organisation, no drive, no passion.
  19. I agree half the players aren’t good enough, but the manager accepted them without question, so deserves what he is getting. It will be a far worse win percentage by the time, they decide to pot him.
  20. I agree, I think all the senior pros or lads with further ambition sussed him out last season, didn't like the look of how it was going to pan out, and found a way out of the club in the summer. Many of the players who are still left are either journeymen, very young, or so below the standard required for this division that they're just happy to be here and playing at this level. They're not going to down tools or throw their toys out of the pram, they're onto a winner, even if the team isn't. Get beat, walk round the pitch and clap the fans, do a post on social media saying they'll try hard next game, rinse and repeat.
  21. Yep Gestede is just the next puppet that treacherous snake Pasha has put forward to take the heat for all his crackpot decisions.
  22. Which items were taken off the table? All of them?
  23. Doesn't really matter who 'would' come it's all about who the usual hidden suspects decide to install next. And it'll be a 35-1 left field long shot as usual.
  24. This is absolutely no surprise - Emerald Isle Rover (I think it was) posted an expected best X1 midway through the season and I pointed out the lack of goals in the side, roughly 20 I think it was last season. Imo we needed to add 2 goalscorers and by the looks of it we havent added any.
  25. We all agree on those sentiments, but who is going to sack them? Pasha and Gestede are running the show. The only people above them are Venkys and they don't give a toss about what is going on in this club. Desperate times.
  26. Vile. I absolutely loathe the people ruining everything good about this football club. One of the world's oldest, most historic football clubs. England's 10th most successful club. 15 years of muck - no ambition and embarrassment under these owners. They run the club like a non-league outfit. I'm terrified that's where we could end up one day. I'd give anything to be rid of them.
