The January 2026 Transfer Window
rob_of_the_rovers replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yeah, but just think how much more he'll be worth in a couple of years before he rejects a new contract and leaves on a free -
It was me who suggested the red card, did you actually read what I said ? It was my idea, I was the first to suggest it after the Leicester game. How about you change your stance and come and do an in ground protest? You could even lead it, or is it unrealistic for you to even consider changing your mind ?

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)

I genuinely don’t know. Given the guarantee condition has now been removed my best guess is they’ll be trying to have the other conditions removed too. -
Better side than us- yes. But good grief, we’ve made it so easy for them by giving away wickets and dropping catches.

If we mean Axel Bronner, he doesn't turn 18 until April, so if Rovers are interested, that deal cannot be completed in January. International transfers can only be completed after a player turns 18 Clubs can agree these moves in advance for them to complete in the summer, but I would think that is unlikely in Rovers case, after all, we don't know what division we will be in next season -

We can, we just won’t. Where has the money gone? -
So that's a no then. So to summarise You won't boycott (even for one game) You won't consider not renewing your ST next time round You won't actively participate in any in ground protest. That's absolutely fine. Im sure there's a lot more like you. My view would be you're not going to change your stance no matter what is said, it's unrealistic to expect you, or others of a like mind, would.

This kid we are linked with is probably just to replace the little ingrate who will be off to Arsenal as soon as terms are agreed. -

What no Simon Garner ? -
Completely agree, there's no point watering the message down to satisfy a section of the fan base who don't really support your aims in the first place.
-
Red card was a suggestion I made but whatever the message, it would have to be spread widely. I'm not on twitter or anything else, but it's pointless just a few on here suggesting something.

A reminder we’re a week away from the next court date (just in case anyone still cares 😁😁) -
It only rains when we're winning, Rains when we're winning....
-
Would you personally hold up a yellow or red card saying something like "Venky's Out!" then?
-
The best ally the coalition could have on the 24th is the weather.
-
Not bad for you 😁

I won't stop going so there's no point discussing the likelihood, and I haven't come across anyone who will stay away, and I've asked a few. The other night when I mentioned the option of doing something inside Ewood, Speedie dismissed it as he believed it would detract from the boycott. The conversation has changed direction over the last couple of days and it would seem there's a realisation that it would be better to get match goers onside, rather than "alienate" them. Got to say Matty's number 4 struck a chord with me.

Crossed Rudy. -
Well done to Australia who have once again proven they are a much better side than this current England lineup. The media and especially for me the TMS team, had convinced themselves we’d beat Australia at a canter. Since Perth we’ve had to listen to them outraged because they got it wrong, very wrong, it’s pathetic listening to them on TMS to be honest. Don't get me wrong, we’ve handed several results to them on a plate, but they are simply a better side than us, it’s as simple as that.

Yeah, agree with this. A couple of years ago, I was getting some really solid, geniune info from a very good source. Even shared what the pink kit design a couple of months before the first image of it, as a specific example. But whenever I shared the info I got, I just got this exact attitude, to the point where I just stopped sharing it. I do appreciate that some attention seeking whoppers spoil it for everyone, but some people do have legitimate inside info. - Today

Yep. (In no particular order) Sir Roger, Tony Field, Shearer, Duff, dead heat between loads for the fifth - maybe just Hendry.
