I cant emphasise how bad it is at the training ground in particular. Contrary to popular belief Gestede is the most hated man there, even more than Suhail. Long serving employees 10, 15, 20, 25 plus are exiting left right and centre and he's the route cause. One employee, I talk to weekly who is pre-venkys stated its the worse its been at any point in his Rovers career. We've got s ship people want off, and no amount of PR is going to mask it. People are willing to talk and some maybe about to on record too. I cant say much more. One of the other Ipswich players was a good yard or two inside the area when the penalty was struck as well. No way they're amongst the favourites to go up automatically on that showing. Birmingham looked decent enough. Probably a good bet for top 6. Hopefully being pegged back in such unfortunate circumstances will have derailed their momentum a bit for when they face us.

Whether they were offered contracts or not the outcome is the same, they left or will leave so there are deep issues involved obviously. For what it's worth the Nyambie, Lenihen, BBD scenario's played out the same over a similar period and they all left as well. We heard the same stuff they were offered great deals - at the 11th hour once their ahents had something else lined up. Same pattern at play, same narrative created of blame all the players, same guy in the shadows being unaccountable yet letting the same things happen over and over. Some might say him and his bosses are the real problem.

Fundamentally this comes down to whether you believe the club has made a serious effort to keep any of these players. I don't. The reason for my original post was concern that people are starting to fall for a narrative that they have been made appropriate offers but have declined them. I don't believe for one second that they have and the club is 100% to blame for this situation in my opinion, not any of the players. I get angry and concerned when I see people suggesting that the players are somehow the issue in this situation. How many times must it happen for people to realise the club is the problem?
