  1. Past hour
  2. I mean, I agree with Ismael that had Tronstad and Cantwell been fit all season that we'd likely be a few points better off. But let's not forget that the club are seemingly content with letting the former leave on a free at the end of the season (not to mention they'd no doubt be keen to get Cantwell and his wages out of the door too). What then? Another Gardner-Hickman calibre of player to come in for Tronstad? If we somehow survive this season we certainly won't next.
  3. Wolves are just a poor team. Rob Edwards has a huge job there to turn the club and make them into promotion challenges next season. I suspect we see that start in terms of signings in and out.
  4. If we are putting our strongest 11 together when all fit (appreciate in reality that rarely happens) there’s an argument as many as 7 were missing last night from the starting team. That’s; Toth, Wharton, Carter, Hedges, Tronstad, Cantwell and Baradji. I dont care who you are but that amount of disruption is going to have a huge impact on performance. I’m hoping we are close to seeing a midfield 3 of Tronstad, Cantwell and Baradji. A mix of solidity, strength, skill and flair. Have them playing consistently we will be so much better for it. Injuries are part and part of the game I get it, but we have been totally decimated this season. Very difficult to judge this team without actually seeing them play together. We certainly had the chances to win the game last night. Good save from TGH but Ohashi has to do better; poor miss. Let’s go to Pompey and get the win…..Ever the optimist….
  5. I am amazed that even 5-7k actually turned up last night!! A cold wet Tues to watch us struggle against Oxford - there are some truly die hard fans of ours. If they would protest as well and show the media that they aren’t coming to the ground but the fact that many even turned up last night doesn’t give me much hope that we can muster up enough of a walk out to attract media attention against the scumbags
  6. wrong here Mark. quite a mixed up that one
  7. are all those 3 signings can play the number 6 defensive midfielder role?
  8. Ismael said post game it was tactically and Cantwell came on for him
  9. For me last night was an absolute "must win" game which yet again we failed to convert. The only positive thing was that (on TV at least) the pitch looked absolutely fine. If it's true what Mike Graham said on here yesterday that we hired some machinery from Lancs Cricket Club then it did it's job admirably and it's what we should have done after the Ipswich game. Should keep us going until we can sort it permanently.
  10. Hate the club under this Gestede/Pasha stewardship but strangely encouraged by some of the new players. A team with Cantwell, Baradji, Gudjohnsen, Mori, Ohashi and Tronstad is a team should be exciting - yet it's not ('ish). The problem as I see it is that we have made a wall of good bricks but no cement, we're far too easy to push over. Yet getting these guys on the ball fills me with more optimism than say the Gallaghers and Dolans of this world that we had in previous seasons (yes I know Dolans doing OK this year). Things clearly haven't clicked and I'm getting tired of "mañana, mañana, always mañana". The cement was thrown out in the close season (now doing its work in Derby and Wrexham) to be replaced by flour and water paste. Stupid, hubristic, amateurish arrogance by you know who. Keeping the likes of Travis, Baath and Hyam and ADDING the new guys - I think we'd be in a totally different place by now. After 15 years I shouldn't be surprised by the arrogant incompetence but I still am. What could have been. We're going to be lucky to stay up.
  11. So how many signings in January is realistic is what my original question was which you didn't answer? If it wasn't realistic when you factor in that some signings have only been here less 6 months. MGP took 6 months to get going and his first real impact from memory was Cardiff away in FA cup in January
  12. If you read the post properly and used common sense, it was clear he meant Alebiosu as he mentions Bardji further down in the post. I just knew you would try and pick him up on it though.
  13. we knew we would have to wait to see the player when he had surgery but its a signing Ismael wanted. Sometimes you have to made a brave call. Lets see what we get. who are looking at internally Gestede? did he sign every player or was it part of team decision between Ismael, Gestede, Owen and Cairney? I suspect the latter to be honest
  14. I also made the decision not to go last night after Saturday’s fiasco and getting so pissed wet through that I was still drying out yesterday! Part of that decision was mitigated by the fact that I could watch on TV and suspect there are thousands of others doing the same each game. Whilst the club are benefitting from the increased TV money it does have a negative impact on attendances. Probably the worst that could have happened to a club like Rovers but good for those who don’t attend. The fans who want to be at Ewood supporting the team (and there are a lot on the evidence if the Derby attendance) desperately need something positive to make it worthwhile their effort. I’ll be there for the Millwall game (pitch permitting)
  15. Gudjohnsen mike not it overall? 🤣 6 goals in 15 goals and international player, scored important and crucial goals in our wins like Southampton at home, PNE away and Leicester way Baradji has been really good? based on a few cameos of what? for me, waiting to see him properly and starting games before given proper judgement, done decent enough so far considering lack of pre season and the injury he had Alebiosu has been the stand out signing, McLoughlin and Miller more than decent enough, TGH decent, Morishita has shown what he is about and for me, improving game by game. Tavares has been the biggest disappointment for me, Henriksen has been poor, De Neve had a couple of good games/cameos but overall poor.
  16. Oldest saying in the book - "The table doesn't lie". If the away form reverts to what you would normally expect from a team around 20th, we really are struggling.
  17. It is a very poor league this season , unfortunately we are in the piss poor bracket ! The squad , imo will be weakened during January , relegation will happen , I also think the owners and their acolytes have been wanting relegation for 3 seasons . It never happened because Eustace and JDT were far superior managers to Ismael !
  18. Exactly. After nearly half a season, we absolutely deserve to be where we are in the league.
  19. Same around me in the JWL, a lot of ST holders taking the comfortable option of watching from home.
  20. Teams that go down are always full of sob stories. But guess what? Jettison your experience and bring in cheap replacements who don't know the division and you end up staring down the barrel. Not 'unlucky', not 'if we'd just'. We aren't and we didn't and that's solely due to the very conscious choices made by this disgusting regime.
  21. That's somewhat of an indictment on the recruitment when you signed 3 central midfielders in the summer.
  22. One of the main drivers of the decay has decamped to India apparently and isn't even there to witness his handy work over the last few games. Convenient eh.
