  1. Past hour
  2. No way they're appointing Rooney imo. Balaji might briefly fancy it as a glamour appointment but it'd quickly be knocked back by everyone else. The eyes of the World would be on us and could you imagine him or Gerrard managing in League 1? It'd be an absolute circus.
  3. I’m getting Marcus Antonnson vibes from him. Early days I know.
  4. He did look very clumsy when he came on tonight. Don't think he's ready to start again yet.
  5. He ticks a lot of boxes if the main criteria is he has to be French or a French speaker, other than that I wouldn't agree.
  6. Wouldn't be averse to still but i genuinely don't think Rooney should be totally ruled out. It's just the typical thing one of the Indian owners might do if they get wind he's interested. Big name to trumpet about back in India where most of em are Man U fans. Plus he works cheap if he really wants the job and will probably agree to walk for nothing if it doesn't work. He's a live one for sure.
  7. Younger, on decent money, think they saw him as someone who they expected to become the main centre half.
  8. Don't know if TV picked it up but Miller crashed into the hoarding right in front of us, got up and just ran back on,not a flinch. Him and Cashin are 2 players for a relegation battle, Cashin man of the match for me, cracking signing in our position. Painful but we got there, Carter got 60 minutes, Gudjonson and Alebiosu got a rest and Ohashi got an even longer one. Strange team selection it could be said for a game we had to win, but maybe made more with Saturday in mind.
  9. Will have signed an NDA. He'll be happy as Larry. Has absolutely stunk the place out for 12 months and walks away with a massive pay off.
  10. Will Still checks a lot of boxes. He speaks French and English, he's unemployed, and they could kind of argue that he fits the overall project of recruiting potential and trying to develop it - even in the managerial position. He did incredibly well in France, but the failure at Southampton is concerning. He might be the best of a bad lot when looking at the list of likely candidates. We can likely eliminate names like Duff and Rooney.
  11. I thought Cashin was MOTM tonight. Miller is pretty limited but do agree that you can never doubt his effort, always gives 100%.
  12. Dunno, I'd be quite interested to hear VI's take on things once he gets the opportunity to spill all to the media
  13. Was he not more of a Baath replacement? Doesn't make him any better but still.
  14. I still cannot get over the fact those at Ewood thought he was a suitable replacement for Hyam. Absolute extreme cost cutting and downgrading that was.
  15. he`s been injured,if the lad was a greyhound they`de have put him down,he`s always injured
  16. I went and tbh don’t blame people for not coming. It was bloody freezing out there. I was actually contemplating whether to dip out of there at 60th minute.
  17. Be a fucking sight better year than we had under Ismael I'd wager!
  18. A disappointing crowd, for a new man in the dugout. If it had been a Saturday game, there might have been more turning up.
  19. I agree on Jorgensen needing time and also how isolated he looked. I just wanted to add his headed clearance (was it onto the bar?) was useful!
  20. Doesn’t matter he got lambasted called slow and small and poor signing who brings nothing to the team etc etc Jorgensen is slightly different coming from a different country (I’m not defending the signing btw) different pace etc I think his movement has been good and I’d really like to see him flank either side with gudjohnsen. For me the next run of fixtures should give us a better idea of what he’s about if anything at all
  21. Jorgensen is the type we probably won't see the best of until next season, after a full summer pre season with hopefully a gaffer who knows how to use him. Thought Johnson did well tonight it was never going to be good i don't know what some expected. Ismael leaving solves very little at the min other than an opportunity to go back to basics a bit and try and tighten up. Mowbray or Eustace wouldn't have approached it much different knowing what we know about them and more importantly this squad. Ismael likely loses that 1 nil.
  22. I wouldnt be against Bilic. A mixed record but a straight talker and is not a yes man. Would shake things up and would tell it straight. That's what the club needs. No way he'd stand for a bunch of nobodies coming in from Sweden or Belgium. Although he'd quit within a year.
  23. We're desperate and it depends on his mentality - but it could really damage him to be thrown into such dire situation. He's barely got U21 goals, as far as I know, and still turning out for the U18s.
  24. I thought Cashin was our best player tonight, tough and tank like.
