  1. Past hour
  2. To be fair Shearer and Sutton have spoken up regularly and had quite strong pops at Venkys in the past.
  3. I haven't seen much of Barrett, Goddard or Honor. Can you what qualities each have please?
  4. If I remember rightly, there was a horse manure operation in Brunei which had Swiss, Italian and English noble men at its helm. There was supposed to be a documentary on it where they showed how they collected and shovelled huge piles of shit, but it didn't happen for some reason. Sorry, I digress. The talk of Switzerland and Italy from earlier on bought that memory back to mind. Back on topic, I wish we would sign more players from that region. It is an untapped market with potential gems to be found. We've seen how they have done with Schar, Rodriguez, Xhaka, Embolo in the not too distant past. I guess there's still time for Rudy to surprise us over the next week as the window reaches a crescendo. To be fair, he is right. This is when it really gets exciting. In the final week of the window. Sad as it is, but I will be glued to this forum until the window shuts. I just know it. Bring on deadline day! I like the look of Baradji, he has ability. However, I would have been happier if he was being added to what we already had. Not as a Travis replacement. That is taking a risk. On a side note, Baradji and Mafoumbi have the same agent. Not that it matters, but this probably made it easier to sort out the ESC slot situation, I guess.
  5. Morris didn't joined late unless June is late now.
  6. barely deserved equalise for derby though im`e surprised bristol city did`nt go for the kill in the 2nd half, the game would have been over at 0-2
  7. Whats your gut feeling on whether he will prove to be a successful or unsuccessful Rovers manager?
  8. wrong actually. I thought Ismael was wrong to make that triple sub on Saturday when we did and where we were on the pitch, and who came on. Ismael isn't in my good books or bad books actually. Results will determine that but I do think Ismael was right for answering the question he was asked.
  9. Take on board that it wouldnt have been reinvested anyway so its fairly moot and I also agree that you cant compare different players. But my logic isnt based on other players. Its based on our weak negotiating position. In the summer, having played more games, without us being so desperate, he or indeed any player is worth more under those circumstances. How much more, I dont know, but more.
  10. Goddard, I also quite like Sol Honor
  11. I stand corrected. But he was still in the squads wasn't he? Look If you think we would have got 30 million in the summer then good for you but I disagree and I have given my reasons why
  12. Ive just listed a number of fitness issues. Players joining late, players who are injured/carrying injuries and players who didnt have a pre season.
  13. who the 4th? after Toth, Michalski and Pears
  14. Derby score And we are into the bottom 3. We could be there a while.
  15. It isn't just that He was available for 18 million , it would not have been a secret and only Palace came in.I accept we would have got more but not 30 million and every time a young player makes a move its made out that its proof we would have got a similar fee for Wharton Like earlier this summer the defender real Madrid signed from Bournemouth was used a Spanish international after earning plaudits for a strong season at the top level Dibling after some decent performances in the prem and others they are different circumstances I'm obviously gutted Wharton left so soon and I said we would get a bit more money but not 30 million like some think because Spurs happened to pay that for Gray Whether I'm right or wrong it makes no difference anyway whether he was sold for a million or 100 million we know it wasn't going to go back into the team anyway so yeah be gutted about losing a talented home grown player a fan who was an exciting player to watch but I wouldn't be getting too upset over the fee if you think It could have been much higher.its been said a multiple time by gestede and Pasha it doesn't effect budget
  16. Yes, Raya went to Southport in the national League on loan, Michalski needs to do similar Barrett is our 5th best keeper, at best, no where near ready, & never will be
  17. He was lucky to keep his job last season and their fans didnt seem happy that he did. They need new players and a new manager. Hes a typical modern day manager. Trying to get players to do things they clearly arent capable of doing.
  18. Derby fans on not happy with Danny Batth and why they sign him fitness? what issues? Derby signed Carlton Morris on the 26th of June, is that late now? I guess Eustace will want to sign Oxford's winger Dembele then if he wants Wingers
  19. I said in April an ex-player told me the senior players were all pissed off with Waggot and Pasha for the lack of ambition, the way they run the club and with Eustace leaving. Looks what has happened with the senior players since. It’s not their close relationship with Eustace. It’s the lack of any relationships at Ewood. They no longer like the working environment,
  20. These players wont sign new deals here, not because of a relationship with Eustace. But because mainly of money, like anyone. Our inability to offer new deals promptly and offer sufficient new deals has led to us being unable to get anyone to sign in years. We dont offer competitive wages. That account clearly has an intention to make the club seem helpless and the players leaving to be unprofessional. Suggesting they had new deals offered ages ago when they said they hadnt, and repeatedly suggesting that they dont want to play for us. Unprofessional and tacky. Thankfully most have seen through it. But it sums up how dysfunctional we are.
  21. sacking Potter isn't the answer and not after to 2 bloody games. What they need is signings.
  22. He wants to find players similar to himself. He is 6 4
  23. I can see the account and I read the posts when they do. Yes it is deffo someone in the know. I don't think the account really makes people turn on Travis. Some will natural cos he wants to leave. I don't get his desire to go to Derby but it must be his close relationship with Eustace, so fair enough. Its his choice. I thought Brittain would be the one player to re-sign here and how wrong I was
  24. I think they have had a lot of issues with fitness. Agyemang isnt fit, Morris only signed late, Weimann missed some of pre season due to injury, Bobby Clark isnt up to speed, Beck is injured and Brewster missed all of pre season. They also are obviously going to strengthen with Travis, as well as Johnston (right back) and they are looking at wingers.
  25. Surprised more 'expert' predictions didn't have West Ham down to struggle this season. I have posted I think they are likely to be involved in relegation fight. Sold one of their best attacking players and don't seem to have strengthened much. Potter's half-season last season was piss poor. I know he hadn't had the benefit of a pre-season but not sure how much value that really is - he had half a season to make some improvement but none was apparent.
