Kargbo only has 2 years left on his deal without even mentioning an option. That was very strange to give him such a short contract.

Big risk to only give a 2 year deal as well. If he is up to the level you immediately need to start negotiating a new deal, with a significant rise, when the season ends. I think a 4 year deal would have been a risk (that said he may not be on much), but I don't think a 3 year is too much risk.

Hedges is awful whichever side he plays on. Creates next to nothing. If he's the answer on the right (and he hasn't been in the 3 yrs we've had him) we are fecked.

The flipside of that is he would have signed a contract if we hadn't lowballed him.

I think Hedges would work well with Brittain down that channel. Hedges can cut inside or play Callum in for the cross. Plus offers good defensive duties

Throw Hedges in the mix that’s 3 for one spot. The latter well liked by the manager. I am relaxed whether he stays or goes - he would have signed a contract had his asks not be too great. If a 'bigger' club can match his expectations then fair enough, but whilst I think he is a decent Championship player I wouldn't want us to use too much of our limited wage budget.
