This is purely hypothetical on my part. Durus current contract runs out at the end of the season (although he does have a year option). Given that Duru has declared his national allegiance to the USA, & that Rovers have issues with extending contracts at the best of times, is it possible that Duru has made it clear that he does not want to sign a contract extension and prefers a move to the USA to keep himself in view for the National team? Which would possibly explain a reluctance to use Duru at right back for the first team, and laos Durus possible next move away on loan?

To be fair Duru was at Barrow then injured after Ismael came in February. I think he was still doing some rehab for the early part of pre season. In my opinion Duru is an infinitely better right back than Montgomery.
