  1. Past hour
  2. I saw a lot of Pezzella here for Betis, lead the back line and more often than not was in the right place to head clear or get a block in - class player. He wasn't first choice for Argentina during the tournament, so whoever was infront of him must've been very good. This is, of course, said with some bias on my part 😜
  3. Absolutely, but equally people would have said that about their team. You can win it without brilliant players in every position, but theres no harm in admitting that we are weak in that position.
  4. Argentina didn't have any top class defenders when they won the World cup
  5. If Rovers decided to sell the stadium, chaddy would simply demand a video explaining the decision to the stakeholders.
  6. Centre backs ranging from good to average to totally out of the picture to well past their best. So no top level centre backs that a team with supposed aspirations of winning major tournaments would expect to have.
  7. I know he said it. My point was that its irrelevant. I dont get why you become so fixated over what people say rather than results/actions. Thats good news though if he carries on being as bad as he has been. Hes made them far worse since he joined.
  8. It's a PR disaster regardless of communication. Especially when a senior member of staff is on the same packet as running the whole women's team for a year? I'm pretty sure?
  9. So you can’t explain how those steps could have avoided a PR disaster- unsurprisingly, as obviously they couldn’t possibly have.
  10. Its just keep worse and worse for Lancashire this season, Its not good enough
  11. Their lawyers will be awaiting instruction from their clients and as we know that never happens quickly.
  12. dont agree Matty but of course you would disagree with me, see ya
  13. I did, and none of those ‘comms’ steps would have avoided a PR disaster.
  14. His contract will probably run to the end of June so nowt will probably happen until then but i wouldn't be surprised if he's the first loss of the summer.
  15. The articles says ‘exclusively reveal’
  16. Today
  17. Due to a complete cock-up on the ordering front I have a single ticket to see Bruce Springsteen at Anfield on Wednesday 4th June I would like to get rid of. My wife and I are going with friends on Saturday 7th and my son was buying an odd ticket near us to come along but between us we managed to order for the wrong date. I'd like some money for it but I'm happy to accept less than we paid for it. PM me is you're interested. It's a seated ticket on the Kop.
  18. You said it was a ‘PR disaster’, so how could Waggott or anybody else have avoided that?
  19. never said this sort of decision would be good PR did I Matty
  20. So it wouldn’t have been good PR regardless.
  21. a decision like that would be unpopular mostly, but communicate the decision to the players directly to them personally and properly, not lead it to the women head coach to do it. Also communicate the decision to the supporters by a video explaining the reasons why and what happens going forward. Rovers aren't proactive media relations wise and not smart. I have no interest in women football or watching Rovers Woman team but the decision is wrong one and axing it is wrong move.
  22. Might be that, but its a couple of months old https://www.livemint.com/sports/news/blackburn-rovers-fans-demand-venky-s-sell-the-club-after-years-of-decline-11741957414881.html
  23. So glad that Sunderland won. For about 70 minutes they were second best. But they have always seemed to be a team of rubbish first half but better second half. IMO they were the best team to visit Ewood this season followed by Sheff Utd. Good luck to them.
