2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂

Exactly. Squad is 4 over 21 players light compared to the one that ended the season. 4 is the number we need. -

Think we need a minimum of 4 plus a replacement for any departures (will be surprised if Brittain and Travis are here when the window closes). CB: Carter seems to be made of glass whilst we have to see how Wharton goes with his knee (Wharton has also missed long spells with other injuries as well) CM: Tavares is unproven, a washed-up Forshaw (already injured) should never have been re-signed and Montgomery has proved nothing yet other than he is an athlete (as was Jason Lowe!!!) RW: A desperate, desperate need. Hedges offers almost nothing offensively (was it 1 goal and 2 assists last season?) CF: Leonard needs loaning out (L1 or even L2) until at least the Jan. window in order to see if he can hack game after game and score goals - after looking so promising, he's missed so much football over the last season or 2 and after his back problems you do worry if he will ever be fit enough for the rigors of professional football. Just don't see how Ismael would be happy with just 2 or 3 more. 3 more of REAL QUALITY and we MIGHT get by but 2 or 3 more of the likes of Alebiosu, Tavares & De Neve (Alebiosu and De Neve look average at best and don't improve our starting 11 whilst Tavares is unproven with an unconvincing last season at his previous club) and we could be in real trouble. -

If a young, poorly paid, player does really well but knows the intention is to sell him, and there is interest from other clubs, is he likely to sign a new contract ? There will be exceptions like AW who loves the club and was happy to sign but, in general, a flawed policy. -

Not difficult, just offer 1000/2000 in the Blackburn end upper. See what the uptake is and how it affects other sales.

Season Tickets 2025/26
wilsdenrover replied to JHRover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Do you know what their price per game is for a full season ticket? -

MarkBRFC replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Take Whartons case, nobody is asking for the whole fee to be reinvested, but half of that fee would have bought two very good championship players, and it's what all normal clubs do. Here though it's just a few hundred grand here and there, and pass it off as significant investment. -
Below is what Chorley are offering. In the 15 game package you can use more than one ticket per game so in theory it reads that you can use all 15 for one match. They simply issue all 15 tickets in one bundle so it's not too onerous to utilise. DUE to unprecedented demand, we are excited to announce a brand new Season Ticket type ahead of the new season, the SUPER 15. Many of you reached out to tell us you'd struggle to commit to all 23 league games with a standardised Season Ticket, so, we've listened to your feedback to come up with this brand new initiative. A SUPER 15 ticket will grant you 15 match tickets, to be able to pick which game you want to attend, for only £200. This is only £13.33 per game! If you wish to bring a friend, family member with you - no problem. The 15 tickets will be issued physically to each paying customer, meaning the flexibility lies with you to pick and choose as you wish.

Er no. As others have pointed out, he has a good engine and can get up and down but we haven't seen him do anything to worry the opposite full back or any crunching defensive tackles. With him and Hedges on the other side we may negate other team's threat out wide but there will be minimal goals/assists coming from either.

Yes that’s the annoying thing as a fan if the model is to work the money must be reinvested correctly not a very small portion of it -

I think that too. There’d be a point to that if the fees were then invested in better and better potential. I don’t see this happening though. -

Yep, this will definitely be his last season for us, especially if he chips in a few more G/A...He'll move abroad next, La Liga or MLS. -

I think the aim is they sign for less than the structure early and if/when they fulfill their potential they are sold on for decent fees. That’s the aim -

There’s no point having players with potential if our wage structure means they leave as soon as they fulfil it. -

I know what you mean. If you watch him on the pitch he doesn't half moan when things don't go his way. I imagine he can be quite difficult to work with as a result. I actually think, he thinks he's better than he is, which don't get me wrong he does show patches of class - He's definitely regressed as he's got older. I really enjoy watching him though, and still think he'll play a huge part this season. I was worried how he'd react to Val knowing what type of character he is but looking at TC in pre season, he looks good! If he was just a tad quicker then he would be unstoppable...He runs like he's 10 stone heavier. -

Big season for Cantwell because he'll need a new club this time next year so i expect a good season from him and hopefully he can stay fit. -
This requires forward and proper planning, so unlikely I would suggest.
-
If the mid-week games had attractive pricing, people might attend ,but not use one of their 15 tickets ?
-
Bolton have introduced some sort of flexi ticket despite selling probably double what we have. Seen a few of their fans saying it's a bit pointless because ST's in certain sections are cheap enough to buy then not bother if you miss half the games. Used to be like that here.

Why cant I warm to this player? Noticed he walked off the pitch on his own after going to the fans. -
So like I said, M_B, it won’t happen here, not that it wouldn’t be a great option for fans here. Yes, I’m aware what a flexi ticket is, was merely listing different ticket options released during a season. We won’t be seeing a flexi ticket to pick and choose games (I.e the option to now drop the inconvenient ones like a stone) offered in the summer next to a full ST, it’s as simple as that.

Having said the above 😁😁 23 people (15 fans, 8 club representatives) attended the last meeting for which the minutes have been published. I think this number is too high, if nothing else it makes agreeing on the minutes nigh on impossible. I guess the counter to this is that if only (say) 4 people attended for each side, the ‘closed shop’ argument would gain more traction.
