RW: A desperate, desperate need. Hedges offers almost nothing offensively (was it 1 goal and 2 assists last season?) CF: Leonard needs loaning out (L1 or even L2) until at least the Jan. window in order to see if he can hack game after game and score goals - after looking so promising, he's missed so much football over the last season or 2 and after his back problems you do worry if he will ever be fit enough for the rigors of professional football. Just don't see how Ismael would be happy with just 2 or 3 more. 3 more of REAL QUALITY and we MIGHT get by but 2 or 3 more of the likes of Alebiosu, Tavares & De Neve (Alebiosu and De Neve look average at best and don't improve our starting 11 whilst Tavares is unproven with an unconvincing last season at his previous club) and we could be in real trouble.

If a young, poorly paid, player does really well but knows the intention is to sell him, and there is interest from other clubs, is he likely to sign a new contract ? There will be exceptions like AW who loves the club and was happy to sign but, in general, a flawed policy.

Take Whartons case, nobody is asking for the whole fee to be reinvested, but half of that fee would have bought two very good championship players, and it's what all normal clubs do. Here though it's just a few hundred grand here and there, and pass it off as significant investment.

Er no. As others have pointed out, he has a good engine and can get up and down but we haven't seen him do anything to worry the opposite full back or any crunching defensive tackles. With him and Hedges on the other side we may negate other team's threat out wide but there will be minimal goals/assists coming from either.

I think the aim is they sign for less than the structure early and if/when they fulfill their potential they are sold on for decent fees. That’s the aim

I know what you mean. If you watch him on the pitch he doesn't half moan when things don't go his way. I imagine he can be quite difficult to work with as a result. I actually think, he thinks he's better than he is, which don't get me wrong he does show patches of class - He's definitely regressed as he's got older. I really enjoy watching him though, and still think he'll play a huge part this season. I was worried how he'd react to Val knowing what type of character he is but looking at TC in pre season, he looks good! If he was just a tad quicker then he would be unstoppable...He runs like he's 10 stone heavier.

Big season for Cantwell because he'll need a new club this time next year so i expect a good season from him and hopefully he can stay fit.

Bolton have introduced some sort of flexi ticket despite selling probably double what we have. Seen a few of their fans saying it's a bit pointless because ST's in certain sections are cheap enough to buy then not bother if you miss half the games. Used to be like that here.

So like I said, M_B, it won’t happen here, not that it wouldn’t be a great option for fans here. Yes, I’m aware what a flexi ticket is, was merely listing different ticket options released during a season. We won’t be seeing a flexi ticket to pick and choose games (I.e the option to now drop the inconvenient ones like a stone) offered in the summer next to a full ST, it’s as simple as that.

Having said the above 😁😁 23 people (15 fans, 8 club representatives) attended the last meeting for which the minutes have been published. I think this number is too high, if nothing else it makes agreeing on the minutes nigh on impossible. I guess the counter to this is that if only (say) 4 people attended for each side, the ‘closed shop’ argument would gain more traction.
