Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Elrovers replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If this were true and if he were to come in, he’d 100% do a better job than val and will keep us up. But doubt he’d come here though cuz he knows we are run like a circus. -

No chance of a new manager before the end of the window/season. -

Lazy journalism it's the easiest thing in the world to chuck Mowbrays name in there. -

Two well worked assists leading the line by himself from Sam Nombe again yesterday. Rotherham are up against it, he's played this level, knows where the goal is. Also comes with a great chant. -

If it means we can't afford to sign Cadamateri then so fucking be it. Pay off Val and Whitehead and pack their bags for them. Absolute dog shit management team -

I doubt even Mowbray could bring himself to be dictated to on transfers by Gestede and Suhail. He was ok when he was in control and had a relatively big budget to recruit with but under the new regime there's nothing to work with and only one agenda - to cut and profit regardless of the impact it has. -

My read was that Mowbray was successfully able to sideline Suhail, going directly to Venkys, bringing in his ally Waggot. Really doubt Suhail would be pushing for him to come back; I would guess Venkys are saying "we liked that Mowbray fellow get him back to save us" -

Who would you get? I imagine this is a Pasha move, considering their "positive" relationship...I wouldn't trust Gestede getting anyone with any experience. 6 month contract is a no brainier for me. -

Not for me, he lost me years ago. -

I don't think he'd take anything longer, especially under this regime. Till the end of season, I don't think we'd get anyone better. -

I wonder if it is the owners who want him back or Suhail pushing it? -

I did think last night about Mowbray coming back until the end of season. Gets longer than he did in 16/17 to keep us up. Should only get a deal until the end of the season imo. -

Please could anyone who hasn’t already vote in the POTM to split the tie between Alebiosu & Forshaw? 😆 -

I don’t think Cashin did anything wrong yesterday. Not much came down his wing until we went behind and we had to chase the game. -

I don’t get it, I thought he was our best player yesterday. Not a high bar I know but he never stopped trying to make things happen. Some things came off, some didn’t. -
And all this talk about Cantwell shows what a poor manager we've got. Not got the balls to drop him. An Alex Ferguson type wouldn't hesitate.

In their mind once he gets that first elusive win in 15 it'll reset the bar and he's ok for another 15. The incompetence levels are staggering but entirely predictable and i think the arse covering is the main issue. These lot are employed as cost cutters and money gatherers from wheeling and dealing players. So to go to their bosses and say we need x amount to fight this Macron lot and possibly several hundred grand for the find. Also we'd like a million or two to remove the head coach and staff and replace them..... Not happening is it they'll just bury their heads then phone them when they've agreed another big outgoing transfer fee. That's how it works here so i'd suggest the only chance of change is if Ismael walks or one the Pune lot takes notice and insists on the axe dropping. -
I was thinking porcupine, going along with the hedgehog theme.

Funny thing - even if we don't beat them, I have no confidence they will bin him. Even if they do get rid - will be after the transfer window shuts - limiting what a new manager can do - great planning by the people running the club. - Today
