Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

Bring Mowbray back until summer, for me! From my understanding, he was one of the few managers who actually had a real relationship with Mrs. Desai et al., whereas all the others have had to go through Suhail, meaning he might be able to talk some sense into them. -

He'd have to do a bit of backtracking on the whole 'that NE to NW commute each week is too much' thing. But I'd take TM back over VI every day of the week, certainly as a short term option. I'd still take Big Sam over both of them, however long he's been out of the game. We'd finish comfortably in the top half this season. -

I wasn't enthused about Mowbray first time round and he didn't save us from relegation with a better side than we have now. The only consolation for me , if this story is true, is that the club is at last showing some concern. That's only a start though, I don't have faith that they can fix it. -

I'd prefer him to replace Gestede then appoint someone under him who has an idea of what they are doing. -

Bailey is a Middlesbrough centred journalist so it might have foundation, we know that this lot like to take the easy, obvious option rather than explore the big wide world hence their reluctance to make changes and keep the status quo. Or perhaps Mowbray is just ready to work again and is getting his name out via a friendly journalist. I agree we'd be better leaving him in the past and moving on.But I'd also take him over keeping the current situation. A lot, probably including those making decisions, are letting their hearts rule their heads and getting nostalgic. -

Legendary is a bit strong. I'd take Mowbray till the end of the season, just to get rid of Ismael. He'll probably oversee our drop into League One twice in his career though. Rowett would be a better shout though, I think. -

At this stage in his life and career why would he want the hassle plus he'd probably want a fortune to make it worth his while. Remember this is the guy who before he was unfortunately ill constantly moaned about being 2 hrs away from home..... before a year or two later pitching up at Brum then West Bromwich. Like Ismael he couldn't do anything at WBA despite a better squad than we have here. There are many questions but this time around Tony Mowbray isn't the answer i don't think. Rowett for me. -

If it's a 6 month pay day for TM then I reckon he'd come. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. He'd know what players he had, no transfer window to get screwed over in. Come in, keep us up and his stock rises. Come in, take us down and it's Val's fault -

Mowbray would be a huge upgrade on Ismael, but I think he's probably done now after the poor return to WBA last year. -

If this were true and if he were to come in, he’d 100% do a better job than val and will keep us up. But doubt he’d come here though cuz he knows we are run like a circus. -

Two well worked assists leading the line by himself from Sam Nombe again yesterday. Rotherham are up against it, he's played this level, knows where the goal is. Also comes with a great chant. -

I doubt even Mowbray could bring himself to be dictated to on transfers by Gestede and Suhail. He was ok when he was in control and had a relatively big budget to recruit with but under the new regime there's nothing to work with and only one agenda - to cut and profit regardless of the impact it has. -

My read was that Mowbray was successfully able to sideline Suhail, going directly to Venkys, bringing in his ally Waggot. Really doubt Suhail would be pushing for him to come back; I would guess Venkys are saying "we liked that Mowbray fellow get him back to save us" -

Who would you get? I imagine this is a Pasha move, considering their "positive" relationship...I wouldn't trust Gestede getting anyone with any experience. 6 month contract is a no brainier for me.
