  1. Past hour
  2. Coming in here hoping to see someone has summarised VI's post match comments because I can't bring myself to watch him without wanting to smash my phone! Who's fault is it this week according to him? Was it another fantastic performance?
  3. Whatever your opinion on Gueye this kind of public comment isn’t one of a manager who will have the team running through brick walls for him. this is at least the third time he’s publicly criticised his own players. VI on subs🗣️ "The striker we've got on the bench was Pape, who came on at the end. "Honestly, the performance from Pape last weekend didn't convince me that he would make an impact for us at the minute.“
  4. Gudjohnsen did well for the drilled cross that bounced off De Neve into Ohashi's path, but what else did he do of note? Genuine question as I barely remember him being involved in anything else. Could be that my brain is already replacing that wasted 90 minutes with other, more useful information.
  5. He played a good ball over towards De Neve leading up to our goal but apart from that he didnt do a great deal and never looked remotely like scoring. I agree with RF99 on this.
  6. Foreign markets are odd though especially when it comes to players having mins in one of the toughest leagues around outside the elite world divisions. Look how quick Broughton moved on the rubbish he signed and got some money back in as well.
  7. Almost certainly true, but now it just looks worse for them as if they did inflate the number to make it look like we were spending, they now look more incompetent for supposedly wasting more money than we actually did. It'd be funny if the situation wasn't so dire.
  8. Can't imagine you'd be able to give most of them away the way they're performing apart from Alebiosu.
  9. Don't know if anyone else has read this, not about Rovers specifically but it highlights how much of a proper football town Blackburn is and how pivotal the town was in the development of the game. https://www.thefootballhistoryboys.com/2023/09/blackburn-olympic-footballs-most.html?m=1
  10. In our last two matches he has looked like the only player in our team capable of playing in this division. We're in big trouble this season, staring down the barrel. He is the only good thing we've stumbled across this year. I bet he wishes he stayed in Scotland now!
  11. It's him or Gueye. Personally, I'd have kept Harry Leonard over both of them.
  12. Maybe read the player ratings in the telegraph, looks like he watched the same game as me rather than the one you'd decided before they'd even kicked off.
  13. It's hard enough at the best of times to get decent players here without paying good money, nobody will want to come in Jan given were we are likely to be.
  14. Yeah but most of them are getting Championship mins so their value is increasing ready for the agents to move some on in summer and bring in more lightweight crap. That's the agenda here.
  15. If that is considered a striker playing well then it just shows how low the standard has dropped.
  16. I disagree..a fookin Dustbin in a Blue n White shirt would have more impact. As for the rest of the rabble not a single player I have any love or empathy for.A team of foreign mercenaries and poor quality plodders not fit to wear our famous Shirt. K'in sick of it all.
  17. That fee was 100% made up to make it seem like we were investing above 500k on individual players. He wasn't even a starter at Moreirense. I suspect the only player we paid more than 500k upfront for this summer was Morishita. This is largely a team of 500k players from lesser leagues and unsurprisingly it's incapable of winning any Championship fixtures. If there was anyone in charge they'd have removed Gestede a long time ago and fired Ismael without hesitation after tonight.
  18. Played well Gudjonson tonight, the one highlight.
  19. If his half time team talks and subs are anything to go by he's looking for his relegation release clause !
  20. Sky Sports won't give us much air time, and what little they show will not be against the owners, more likely the fans.
  21. I dont have any, but I am not the one making weird claims specifically focusing on the one job where he actually had a massively successful spell there. How many people do you know that support Barnsley? Is it based on one or two, or loads? Either way, they clearly must be bitter that he left for "not rating him" because he did really well there. He finished 5th in the Championship with Barnsley. If they dont rate him specifically based off only that season then they are the ones who dont know anything about football. Ask fans of any of the clubs aside fron Barnsley and theyll think hes shit because he has done poor jobs everywhere else. I just cant get my head around why you keep going back to the one very good job he has done to try and prove he is a poor manager, when youve got numerous spells at other clubs were he has failed to go at. It would be like saying, Owen Coyle is rubbish, even ask Burnley fans.
  22. When taken last season's results into account as well, his record is crap: 22 matches - 6 wins, 4 draws 12 losses, goal difference: 22-30, total points: 22 Points per game (PPG): 1,00 Win percentage: 27 % Home record (total): 11 matches - 2 wins, 3 draws, 6 losses, goal difference: 14-19, total points: 9 Sidenotes: two of the wins from last season came against teams with nothing to play for at that stage (Sunderland and Watford). It took him five matches last season before first home win came against Millwall. This season, we're still without a win in five. This is definitely relegation-type stats at display here. I feel his game management is really poor as well making some rather strange second-half substitutions and having lost three home games already this season from a winning position. That combined with players coming into the squad lacking in Championship experience and you will probably see the team drop even more points from winning positions as the season carries on. Also, being poor at home is often devastating for teams, especially when you're fighting at the bottom end of the table. Does he deserve to get sacked? Yes Will he get sacked any time soon? No, because he accepted being brought into the club's "mission" of managing a team that's in a "transitional" period and taking a salary to become the club's new PR guy in front of the cameras.
  23. Steve Miller Band - Fly Like An Eagle
  24. Your not alone, I won't be at the Southampton game, they'll be lucky if anybody turns up.
  25. My prediction is they'll get a few in on loan in January and say we backed him. He'll get the boot at the end of the season, and we'll get another uninspiring manager in League One. There'll be some sort of relegation clause in his contract I'm sure where they don't have to pay him up! We all stated when he first arrived how he stood on the sidelines motionless & clueless. He just doesn't know what he's doing and gets flustered making shocking substitutions. For what its worth, I'd just stick with Gudjohnsen up top now. Keep him on the pitch. I do think he just needs that first goal.
