I’d offer batth a 2 year deal, 2nd year being on reduced terms and more likely a back up, unless he has a great season again. on the other hand if I was him I’d pick Derby. and anyone hating on Wrexham, they’d beat us to most players in a head to head battle as it currently stands. shows how much of a fucked up club we’ve become.

I have been accused of getting excited about what’s happening with the court case. Excited may be a touch over the top, but I’m certainly filled with hope. Research like this is the very reason for this and add to that, what I have posted about a counter claim and there is certain plenty of hope there.

If I was Trav I'd jump at Wrexham, more money, ambitious, growing fan base, positive attitude. Everything we should have/be.

Why have we waited so long to offer anyone new deals? Totally unacceptable no matter what excuses they throw up. Should have been sorted long ago. If Travis offer a lot more than we do, then of course he will go. We have hardly showed that we are keen to keep him, we havent even bothered to put a contract in front of him. And Wrexham are far more ambitious than us.

They needed (wording in the law) a ‘reason to believe’ a contravention had taken place to do this. How high a bar this is is anyone’s guess.

The current state of affairs is that Venky's are not sending any money. If they do decide to send more money, the more it will cost them in bonds that they may never get back. Venky's will be getting to the point where they desperately want a conclusion to the investigation or they will be forced into a corner. The last thing they want is for the current situation to drag on..

Exactly why I’m hopeful that they will be found guilty of what they are accused of. I don’t see why ED keep on trying to block them from sending funds, when everything is above board. Neither would they seize 6 properties, if they weren’t confident that they have a case to answer.

Just to add to my earlier reply. During the last hearing the judge said something along the lines of ‘if there has been serious wrongdoing things will be different’. I took that as meaning if the investigation goes against the Venkys he’ll put a stop to allowing funds being sent. (I still don’t know how an appeal would affect this).

How many clubs offer 34 years old a two contract who turns 35 in September? Think 1 year contract with an option of an extra year if he starts so many games seems more sensible?

Sorry, It probably is worth mentioning what you have, as plenty do not realise that the hearings regarding, funds, Venky’s are choosing to go to court, to try to get the impediments removed. ED are investigating them for a serious offense, the ultimate penalty, for which is jail. That is a totally different issue, yet some think they are the same thing.

How will anyone sign new contracts? They haven't been offered them. The club hasn't even started to talk to them. We aren't even capable of sorting Batth and Weimann out, also Hedges. 2 years ago we missed out on Batth because we wouldn't give him a 2 year deal. He went to Norwich for a year, then came here on a 1 year deal, and now despite his efforts last year we are looking like losing him again because someone else is offering longer. Just totally ridiculous.
