  1. Past hour
  2. Forshaw signed because heโ€™s English, so helps that quota, is happy to sit on the bench and if we need someone to bring on when weโ€™re comfortably winning he can do a job?
  3. Isn't that his 3 straight red card? That seems a lot for a winger who is not that sort of player.
  4. I actually feel like Buckley - in the right headspace - could make a really good career for himself. If he moved to Portugal, for example, heโ€™d have loads of time on the ball and could look brilliant. The reality is that in this league unless heโ€™s 100% up for it, heโ€™ll get bullied.
  5. I'm sorry but I don't think I can listen to that cunt without finding myself in the slammer by the end of the day.
  6. Spot on, exactly the same sentiments. To start, I'm not a massive Buckley fan- always felt like he needed a rocket up his arse. However, his range of passing is brilliant and he can certainly read the game and nick/intercept the ball.. I've seen nothing in Tavares or Henrikson that suggests they have more ability than Bucko. When you add in the fact he's an academy lad and obviously loves the club I don't know why we couldn't have held onto him and just not signed Foreshaw- especially with Travis going. We've a squad now full of lads from all over Europe with absolutely no affinity to the club. They better be bloody good Rudy!
  7. Toth Alebiosu Hyam McLoughlin Riberio Tronstad Tavares Hedges Cantwell Morishitma Ohashi Winnable game.
  8. He's one player, if he could refind his love for the game, I wouldn't mind us having a buy back option on because there is a real talent in there somewhere, his main problem seems to be the six inches between his ears.
  9. It was a sending off. I'll offer the two rather long stud marks on van Dijk's calf as evidence. Gordon did try to pull out. He did bend his knees at the last second but still caught van Dijk on his standing leg. The "not that type of player" tag is an illusion. All professional footballers have an aggression that could get the better of them. Some either control it, or are rarely in situations where it boils over for them. The emotion of the game both helped and hurt Newcastle. It allowed them to force Liverpool into mistake after mistake but it got the better of the aforementioned Gordon. Guimares and Joelinton spend most games booting people and were both lucky to stay on. Burn hoofed Salah who managed to get up so Burn did it again. Should he have gone? The ref booked him for the first challenge when he eventually blew the whistle. Even Trippier Slot definitely does need to sort out his defence. Konate has had a shocking start to the season. Kerkez has been at fault for 2 goals because he didn't defend the back post properly.
  10. Good luck, John. Iโ€™ll always believe the emergence of Adam Wharton had a massive impact on his development here. John was the next one through, the midfield player and very quickly got overtaken and overshadowed on an undeniable level. Not convinced Saudi is the right option, but itโ€™s a place to find some confidence again and find a move back. I suspect he wonโ€™t be getting paid boatloads of money like is suggested, he just wonโ€™t pay any tax.
  11. Sad, emotional. You can hear it in his voice. He's obviously very upset to be leaving. Wish him all the best. Very good player on his day, probably never quite lived up to his potential
  12. Thank you Buckley for the many wins on โ€œto get bookedโ€ on the betting โ€ฆ always a certified yellow in reality though glad to see Buckley go - wasted his time and chances
  13. 8 in 16 out so far? Swing doors revolving faster than a twitter rumour ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. Remember that one, awesome football from Rovers, let's hope Norwich don't remember it, and get revenge.
  15. It's Rangers v. Celtic on Sunday. If Rangers lose their board is going to have to reverse course and get rid of him. Martin's appointment is also an indictment against Steven Gerrard who was up for the job. He led Rangers to their last title, with an unbeaten record at that. His bad spell at Villa and his woeful showing in Saudi has really dented his standing.
  16. And the season before that, they took us to the cleaners down the right winger, and won 0-1.
  17. Tronstad is class, when hes on form.
  18. Ah OK thank you. If you say so! I just dont get the concept of Twitter/X at all or understand why on earth anyone would possibly want to be on it. Unless you're on there for monetary purposes earning an income.
  19. I'm not predicting anything, usually goes pear shaped when I make predictions.
  20. Christ we're certainly signing some characters ๐Ÿคฃ He makes Miller look shy on that, certainly nothing like the reserved Yuki is he....what a likeable chap he seems though. Gonna be a bit lively in the dressing room this season.
  21. Ridiculous! Weimann off the bench to win it, come on the rams.
  22. They had some speedy strikers Birmingham, caught us on the break for the winner, and Bradford are currently 0-2 up at Stoke, nobody gave them credit against us, they defended well after going 0-2 up.
  23. Celtic out of the Champs league before Rangers, their pens were as bad as their play in the 120 mins
  24. Sad to see Buckley leave. Feels like the final remnants of the Mowbray era drifting away. Say what you want but I do miss the feel that squad had. It had a more homely sense about it; we are heading in a direction where 90% of the squad have no connection to this country, let alone the club. Not that nationality matters but nevertheless it feels as distant as it ever has for me. Losing an academy player is never good. Buckley had the potential but never quite reached up to it. Wish him all the best. He obviously knew there was a section of supporters who had nothing nice to say about him hence the comment. For me, a young man who gave 20 years to the Rovers and say what you want about how he comes across, that will be a miss in the dressing room
  25. Don't really care how much players cost, much more interested in how good they are.
  26. He can be the worse player to ever play for Rovers but he's so god damn loveable and happy I wouldn't even care
