  1. Past hour
  2. It was our only home defeat of the season that. It virtually ended Jimmy's career that too and he was flying, before that.
  3. Is this the one you mean? I will give it a read, thanks 🙂 https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/oct/18/premier-league-scramble-young-talent-overheated-failing-market
  4. Good luck to all Rovers fans going today. Let's hope they get a win tonight against very difficult team
  5. And mixed into that are some of the most deprived wards in England where people just cannot afford or justify football matches. Anyway 1200+ going today, near the bottom, £30 plus per ticket, no pay on the day etc. Respectable if not great and actually represents 10% of the current home support which stacks up to anybody outside the big city clubs. And they know defeat is probably imminent... Cov 3 Rovers 1
  6. We are also pushing 50% of a demographic that is almost completely uninterested in football.
  7. Some of you may know I'm ever the optimist, but today feels like the day in a relegation season that a good team in form absolutely pummels us
  8. I don’t know wether you read “ The Guardian “ but in today’s edition there’s a very interesting article regarding youth football, U-21’s, loans etc etc.
  9. Today
  10. The staff wellbeing break to Hawaii is ON.
  11. I doubt (hope not) he'd go to Manure.
  12. But was your decision right or wrong ?
  13. I remember in my earlier years running the line at Bradford and I was in the far side. Behind me (before it was seated) were the Hartlepool fans who took great umbrage at one of my decisions. The next thing I felt something hit me on the back of my head and got a whiff of the unmistakable aroma of a meat and potato pie. The gloopy insides were dripping off my hair and running down my back. It's strange but I've never really fancied a meat and potato pie since then. 😂
  14. Remember it well. The challenge which broke Mullen’s leg was arguably the worst I’ve ever seen. The referee was Mr Baker from Rugby, he later became a vicar, and was certainly forgiving that day the Peterborough player wasn’t even booked
  15. Then he hardly played for Palace and drifted out of the game.
  16. BBC are reporting that the latest club to show serious interest in Wharton is Man Utd with Palace quoting a fee of £70 million.
  17. I remember the game , we lost 1-0 , think Jimmy Mullen broke his leg that day .. Do not remember the flask incident though , I used to stand in the enclosure as a kid !
  18. Anyone remember the Peterborough game in 1975 (?) when an old boy in the Nuttall St enclosure emptied his flask over the ref as he went down the tunnel..?
  19. We have an affiliate link with Classic Football Shirts…👀😆
  20. Just got back from my latest stint in Spain and got my shirt. Absolutely delighted with it and can highly recommend it.
  21. Not that Im condoning this sort of behaviour, but if you buy an opponent’s shirt go in the wrong end and throw something at the ref, your team are awarded the points, if this is now a precedent.
  22. This weekends games for our loanees Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - score/update - 12:30 kick off - game on Sky Sports + Saturday 3pm kick off O'Riordan - score/update Barrett - score/update Edmondson - score/update Pratt - score/update Wood - score/update Farkas - score/update Sunday 2am (UK time) kick off Duru - score/update
  23. Three weeks today from the big day. Still no announcement from Rovers about this special commemorative shirt. No dates, teasers, publicity. I really don't think they are capable of getting this done and especially not having it on sale for fans as well.
