  1. Past hour
  2. We have to subtract some points for the central midfield options at the time of of Lowe, Evans, Guthrie & Akpom though Id prefer Tronstad playing on his own vs all 4 of those πŸ˜‰
  3. According to the enigmatic BRFCPrivy Travis is refusing to play. Could be true, could be false, or it could be the club trying to put the blame on Travis
  4. This is purely hypothetical on my part. Durus current contract runs out at the end of the season (although he does have a year option). Given that Duru has declared his national allegiance to the USA, & that Rovers have issues with extending contracts at the best of times, is it possible that Duru has made it clear that he does not want to sign a contract extension and prefers a move to the USA to keep himself in view for the National team? Which would possibly explain a reluctance to use Duru at right back for the first team, and laos Durus possible next move away on loan?
  5. I'm getting the same feeling I got when we had Wes and Chris Brown, Nathan Delfonso and so on. There's no talent at all, and the squad is washed out.
  6. Meanwhile, Nyambe, Sanderson, Batth, etc, having a rough time vs Coventry. Not sure I wouldn’t prefer at least two of the three in our starting 11 today. Definitely Weimann on the bench
  7. Bonkers that we'll be massively outshone/outdone here by a club who are the same age as us and would sell their own grandmothers for a hint of the success we've had across three centuries. 10 major honours to their 1. They've basically got nowt to shout about, but they'll still do it better than the donkeys running our club. Our marquee friendly was against Everton, a club we have no connection with other than the short distance and an away game that fans were banned from attending. We then got a 150th anniversary kit that had halves done incorrectly, the one thing fans asked them to do. We're probably gonna get a voicenote from Alan Shearer and an AI deep fake of the Venkys singing No Nay Never on the club's social media or something. I'm really not looking forward to that Derby game, I think it's going to be a sour, dark day in the history of the club when it should have been brilliant.
  8. I agree, I liked the look of him - hadn't seen as much from him defensively, but I'm positive he'd be a better option than KM at right back.
  9. Windass just pulled his hamstring as well. I can't see Parkinson seeing the season out with Wrexham. He's a top end of league one manager at best.
  10. To be fair Duru was at Barrow then injured after Ismael came in February. I think he was still doing some rehab for the early part of pre season. In my opinion Duru is an infinitely better right back than Montgomery.
  11. Sounds like the sort of thing Jason Lowe would have been praised for back in the day.
  12. Was gonna go to todays game but person I was going with has ended up unexpectedly child free so we've opted to go see Supergrass in Halifax instead. Hope the boys get something out of todays game, Birmingham are gonna be towards top of table this season.
  13. At the kit launch thing recently, VI made a point of saying that Montgomery had impressed in training with his attitude and abiity to take on board his tactical instructions. By that same token, you'd assume that Duru has done neither of those things? Which is a shame, as he's looked promising in the glimpses we've seen him.
  14. west brom one up on the welsh upstarts, terrible defending by the wannabe *****!!!!
  15. I'm hoping Newell, Clayton and Douglas get minutes today
  16. I don't think we'll definitely go down, I think we'll be in the mix for a fair amount of the season though, looking over our shoulders nervously most of the year. Edit - when we last went down, the league was extremely competitive and we went down with a very high points total. Our side right now as I mentioned previously is probably not better than the one that went down but I think the high watermark will be way lower than 50 points so we'll be ok.
  17. Not yet. He's more than capable. This needs to be his season otherwise we'll be watching the back of his head walk put the door too.
  18. i`ve no idea what to expect today,if you ignore tuedays night and the changes,we didn`t play to badly at west brom, though we did`nt look like scoring,i`me going for a narrow 1-0 victory, more in hope than expection 😁
  19. it can only be the management don`r rate him,it was pretty clear when montgomery had lots of minutes pre season and duru had not many, montgomery is`nt even a right back eitherπŸ€’
  20. Who would ever want to buy Bolton Wanderers Blackburn Rovers? Would anyone else except Bolton's owners Venkys want to put Β£18m a year into Bolton Wanderers Blackburn Rovers? I think this is the thing which annoys me most now when I hear it from other Rovers fans. That we should be somehow grateful and accepting of our current owners and that we couldn't do any better without "doing a Bury/Morecambe".
  21. This is one of those rare occasions when you can both claim victory simultaneously πŸ˜‰ If we were paying the sort of wages that Chaddy suggests there, then we would not have an inability to offer competitive contracts
  22. Raya - Future top 4 premier league goalie Lenihan - Young albeit injury prone promising centre half Mulgrew - Set piece specialist and leader Conway - Top tier championship winger Graham - Proven centre forward at championship level Only one we have that is remotely similar now is Carter for Lenihan. Scary how much better that group of players looks compared to what we have now.
  23. I don't know why you're all humouring Chaddy by responding to his snide "you have all the answers" remarks when anyone who can read and doesn't live under a stone knows we pay well below the going rate for absolutely everything at our club, players, coaches and the rest. Even if you give him the facts and figures he will bury his head in the sand, the club can do no wrong in his eyes. He probably hasn't read the latest forum minutes yet.
  24. Heaving in brig with brummie fans, they will have more than us on today
  25. Yep, the 16/17 team under any remotely decent manager would have stayed up. Even being saddled with Coyle until Feb we still only went down on GD and what I think was a record number of points for relegation? Close to, if not.
  26. I couldnt say the exact amount that we would need to pay. I just know that our inability to offer competitive contracts is decimating our squad of quality and sooner or later that leads to one thing and it isnt good.
