  1. Past hour
  2. What growing narrative? I presume you are referring to Ismael's philosophy of 'if you can make it in League One, you'll make it in the Championship as well'.
  3. Surely the fact that ticket sales are outsourced to Ticketmaster should not require any Rovers staff to be involved. I guess most Rovers fans planning to go to Sheffield will have bought tickets in good time but many will have been undecided. Another massive own goal for the club.
  4. They won’t have “given them” time off. They will be making them use their holiday allowance.
  5. Check of our local clubs playing away on 29th. Wigan away at Burton - on sale online now and in person in ticket office on Monday morning. Fleetwood away at Salford - on sale online now and ticket office open Saturday 27th Oldham away at Walsall - Was on sale until 12pm on Saturday 27th but sold out. Morecambe away at Carlisle (30th). Club shop open all day 29th.
  6. He's literally a loan? What's the clause for buying him? Does anyone know? I doubt we'll buy him regardless of clauses because - we can't afford to
  7. I don’t get why, if you buy and then receive a ticket digitally, it needs Rovers staff to still be working to process it. But clearly it does.
  8. Can I disassociate myself from Herbie’s message, as you’re all a bunch of absolute bastards 😉 Merry Christmas anyway!
  9. Considering Sheffield Wednesday are still selling tickets to there own fans for this game online over the Christmas period, why on earth would they say to Rovers "you need to take them off sale 6 days before the game"?! It's 100% a rovers decision because they can't be arsed with the hassle of it all, please stop jumping to there defence on everything that happens.
  10. RIP to one of my dad’s favourite players, John Robertson. ‘Giggs before anyone knew what Giggs was, but only for about 5 yards’.
  11. Seconded! The guys behind BRFCS do a sterling job.
  12. Today
  13. Well short of the 5,000 we took up to the old Ayresome Park on Boxing Day 1987. I think Boro, with Mowbray and Pallister, were top of the league and went on to get promoted via the play offs. We were 23 or something unbeaten with Steve Archibald up front. Garner and Bernie ‘the wolf man’ Slaven scoring in a 1-1 draw. It was certainly a rough old encounter, especially off the pitch, supporter bus windows being bricked and they attempted to turn our tranny van over, those were the days 😊
  14. Yes, a comparison to the games either side of it seems a fair enough barometer.
  15. If only there was some kind of digital solution available that would enable supporters to buy tickets…someone with IT skills should look into this.
  16. The "real" crowds are 6-7k because of the situation that's been pertaining at the Club for the last 15 years in general and (at the current levels) the last 12 months in particular. The boycott will bring attention to the cause, put a focus on the overall situation, and as long as there's not a noticeable increase in attendance in protest against the call for a boycott I don' see how anyone can see it as a bad thing or why anyone needs to obsess over bare numbers. There are also organic factors to take into consideration as well. If we lose every game between now and Watford, crowds could get even worse than they are now. If we win every game between now and then they'll undoubtedly perk up a bit. The fairest test on numbers is the difference in attendance between the Watford game and the home game immediately before.
  17. @KidderStreetNoise has been on the case…
  18. Best birthday present for your lad would be to take part in the boycott, knowing he played a part in saving his club.
  19. Don’t buy into this growing narrative at all regarding Leonard. would I have preferred a loan move yes absolutely but he isn’t the answer for us hopefully he continues his good form seems a doing genuine lad
  20. Yes, but calling for an official boycott is hopefully the first stage of that process.
  21. There are truly no lengths you will not go to to defend the indefensible or confuse the situation to try and deflect blame away from the Club.
  22. We should recall Leonard in January...oh wait...
  23. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cj69djzyjx6o 60 years ago today Rovers and Blackpool played the last ever Christmas Day fixture We lost the game, but which Rovers legend scored the last ever Christmas Day goal?
  24. Agree with pretty much all that, but I think Miller and McLoughlin fall into the 'ok' category for me just now, same with TGH. There is clear room for improvement. Gudjohnsen is proving to be a good poacher at this level. I like the dynamic of him and Ohashi...they just need support in the way of backup forwards. Morishita has flattered to deceive at times, but I do think he's a decent player. I think Baradji is going to be quality, if he is given a run of games. The major poor signing of the summer has been De Neve, although I didn't exactly have high hopes for him in the first place. Oh and Tavares...who I did actually have hope for, has been woeful. It's imperative that they make some decent signings next month, and not the rag tag recruitment of last January.
  25. Tavares is the most disappointing one for me i was expecting something from him. Sure there's a player there but he really doesn't look like he fits here. The likes of Kargbo and Gueye are ten a penny types, one can sprint but not much else, the other is athletic and nothing else. They either click or they don't there's never anything in between with those types. De Neve is pants but we've only really seen him trying to be a LWB, which he isn't. THG don't mind him at all as a squad man and similar with Henriksson. Mclaughin and Miller are exactly what i expected them to be, in and out but both will get better hopefully.
  26. But the actual attendance can be found I believe, via the police, and a freedom of information request.
  27. With context yes if we compare to last season then it’s a fail which I agree it should never have come to this and we have downgraded in most positions however without comparing to last season and just looking at ‘this seasons squad’ and how they have performed for us given where they have come from I think as stated about 50% of the signings have been average or above still a failure on last season mind you but more treating my grading on their own merit
