  2. Very little I guess. Maybe he's a set piece "analyst" instead of coach as he will spend most of his time analysing other teams routines for ideas and also for when we play against them etc.
  3. We have the option to buy him. I would exercise that option
  4. I want to jump off this roundabout to be honest, but I have to respond to this. Do you think a footballing man born in Kilrea din't know the club before he joined? He was a Celtic fan as kid and his English team was Sunderland if memory serves me correctly.
  5. Where do we stand on offering a full contract? Is there anything available in his loan package to say we could potentially buy him or is it going to be a case of waving bye bye to him leaving a hole
  6. Nelly Furtado - ....on the Radio (Remember the Days)
  7. Today
  8. Look at how many goals Arsenal have scored from set pieces or Villa over the 12 months. That's what a set pieces coach can do But also defensively make us more solid.
  9. We did technically have a set piece coach by default when Eustace was here, I do not recall us being particularly great with set pieces then The most niche role I recall seeing was a throw in coach for Liverpool a few years back, wonder how many hours a week he worked?
  10. Its amazing that any fans can judge Rovers week to week on football results. The long-term trend in every aspect of the club is downward. In the long-run we want a club for our future families to support and continue a hundred and fifty year history like we have. We won't get that with Venkys.
  11. Unless we're getting pumped 3 nil at half time, there will be more anger aimed at Eustace, BBD and Sanderson than there will at Venkys by the Ewood crowd.
  12. Results drive everything Ewood wise, the unfortunate truth is we need to be pretty much marooned for anything to take off at the ground, it will never happen if the team is in a relative position of strength (I.e not 22nd or below). We knock around 15th this season and it will fizzle away… maybe reconvene next season.
  13. The Beatles - A Hard Day’s Night
  14. This is all very patronising to the clubs themselves. Ask a Celtic fan if they prefer to be appointing those with a connection to the Falls Road or the Catholic Church or if they just want the best candidate for the job before engaging in cod romanticism on here.
  15. Do we ever beat Bristol City away? I remember Kean's team doing it in our first season after relegation from the Premier League. Some crazy score as I recall. 5-3 was it? Actually I manned up and googled it. We've played them 10 times at Ashton Gate and won 3, lost 5.
  16. @DE. summarises the action so you don’t have to…👌
  17. Matchday 13 Summarised Read the full article on the front page and let us know your thoughts.
  18. It’s hardly a full time job, is it? How long do they spend in training on set pieces, out of general training?
  19. Shame as I don't think a new manager can do worse, but yeah, at least we caught them whilst he had them in freefall.
  20. I never thought ribeiro / pickering would be getting so little gametime. For me a strong CM is vital.. CB cover (miller can cover rwb?) and a winger STILL NEEDED. Forwards are okay if we're sticking to Gueye as backup.. if he's not good enough move on and sign someone else. I'm on the fence.

  22. Makes sense to those happy to promote cut backs rather than improve the team. Doesnt make sense to essentially replace your best defender not with a first team replacement but with a young lad who wasnt anywhere near the first team prior to 12 league starts in League 1 who could come back to make the numbers up. We should leave him there to continue to play and sign a proper replacement for Hyam. A centre back who can slot straight into the team in that middle position. Better late than never.
  23. You nor chaddy have explained WHY it makes sense to prioritise "knowing a club" in appointing a manager. Nor why its especially important for those clubs. O'Neill didnt know the club ahead of his hugely successful spell there that ended in 2005. Wasnt important then.
  24. If they have something planned for the Derby match as was hinted, maybe it's being kept under wraps until as late in the day as possible, due to potential spies and grasses on here or elsewhere who would try and prevent it or undermine it. Let's wait and see. My worry is that we've had two good results - while I'm glad we've moved clear of the drop zone for now and hope we can keep our head above water, I think that puts a significant portion of the fan base off protesting because they see it as unfair on the players and manager or just think you shouldn't protest if the team is winning.
  25. You’re asking for explanations and ignoring them 99. Good evening sir.
  26. I also said I expect Gueye to leave. There is your 3 spots for signing
  27. Im not against the idea. Although it was a fair question by ossydave to at least ask why, and one you didnt answer properly.
