  1. Past hour
  2. If these comments to people are genuinely true and they have evidence - it shouldn’t be on here. It should be reported. Until it is reported and acted on, it’s online tittle tattle as far as I’m concerned. The fact it’s accusing someone of forcing religion on others is incredibly divisive too. Speculating on people’s religion too is also just not appropriate in my eyes, it’s got nothing to do with it.
  3. It seemed obvious to me that Hyam needed a strong player next to him. He was a different player when he was asked to lead. Regarding Batth, perhaps it's one season too many and he should have retired. He's 35 this month.
  4. The opposite - Wrexham were sniffing around for a CB in that price range (they were after a bloke from Bristol City for £2m and told to jog on).
  5. Don’t take this personally Mike, you’ve never been in an academy, you’ve never done the YTS, you’ve never been on loan, or played at multiple levels of the EFL, you’ve never been transferred, you don’t have connections throughout the league through family, network and former employers and finally you’ve never had the responsibility of playing for championship level teams on a regular basis. All of those things make his experience a hell of a lot more important than your own and all of those things should be useful to a club that has an u21 / u18 setup absolutely chock full of players. Edit - apologies for the large text but whenever I try and type more than two sentences here these days, a pop up crashes the screen and I have to start again. Great website lads.
  6. What other partners has Hyam struggled with? He has been very good for most of his Rovers career. People have always credited others when he has done well and blamed him when he and others have struggled. Maybe a mixture of Carter playing poorly and him playing on the left didnt help. In his poor season, we were also really open as a team and struggling as a team. Or more they were both playing well with each other. Why does it have to be one playing well and carrying the other?
  7. Think that the bit about existing set ups is a boast/threat/willy waving that will never be used (other than as per the current situation when a club/business is failing to meet its obligations to staff or HMRC)
  8. You've seen one image and not verified anything in there. If you went onto transfermarkt you would note that the fees besides Dom Hyam, Lewis Travis, Harry Leonard and Callum Brittain are all followed with a ? - so they are not included in any calculation for money received. The only two confirmed fees are John Buckley and JRC who combined are 2.03 million euros.
  9. Would love to know what is actually happening with Pears. Think RuHail (eller SuDy??) had counted on 2m (ish) for him but something is not going to plan with that...
  10. Today
  11. Oh yep, I was encouraged at first (and thanks for posting). Just seems that they will be more interested in new applications (but then contradicted by the last para that they could look into existing set ups).
  12. It was this section on particular that interested me. Unfortunately though I don't believe the regulator will consider what's happening at our club sufficient to take any action. As long as the lights are kept on and the bills paid they'll be happy.
  13. Since we have lost both of them, it's surely a moot point to discuss now.
  14. The idea of the head honchos wondering why everyone is furiously staring at and scribbling on cards whilst they talk, and then someone triumphantly shouting 'Bullshit Bingo!' after the 14th Rovers transfer-window-failure-cliche is churned out, definitely tickles me. Incidentally somebody did already draw up such a bingo card earlier in this thread, I couldn't tell you who or when though.
  15. However, it is key to make clear that the ODSE Test does not have to taken by current owners, directors or senior executives and they do not have to apply. Only new prospective custodians will be required to apply for the test. However incoming the Football Regulator is intent on making it clear that if it has any concerns about the suitability of an existing owner, director or senior executive, it will be able to intervene and take action Edit Two howevers in row.
  16. Yes I still do. You'll be the first to know when I change my mind. In that case I'll hold my hands up and admit that I was wrong. Could you explain what it is about RG that you think is an 'excellent appointment'?
  17. Our other closest season to playoff hyam got player of the year So that’s a player of the year season and I’d argue a top 5 performer last season in our team the near relegation year everybody bar szmodics were awful
  18. The good old Nixon 'Watford eye Hyam' piece a few weeks ago was the flag for that one he, as per normal, was putting Dom up for sale for Rovers. I doubt Watford ever even considered a genuine bid but to me it was obvious then what was happening. Did Rovers come out and say there's nothing in it no bid and we won't entertain any we need to keep him - Like Brizzle did to Wrexham - nope. Just got Val saying the usual spiel he's happy to stay here but we'll do what's best for the club type stuff. In other words show us your money.
  19. Is this Gestede you're referring to? Im starting to worry about you a bit Parson. As for JR - loved him as a player here but the role he's going to be filling appears to be completely surplus to requirements currently.
  20. Imo Waggot was a bit dodgy in that classic slippery football suited kind of way and he himself was over promoted ending up as CEO here. However he had a set way of working and stuck to it and i think that has played a huge role in holding this club back and simply refusing to step up a gear or take the odd calculated gamble. That being said though he also kept it competitive, steady and in business whilst at least being an official challenger to the pillock in the shadows preventing him from doing everything as he pleased. So now i think we can wave goodbye to calm waters and hello to sink or swim, it'll either click and somehow work well or it'll go spectacularly wrong.
  21. Could only happen at Rovers that we suddenly appoint a full time loans manager when we currently have barely anyone in or out on loan and the Head Coach himself has professed not to be a fan of the Loan System.
  22. You're obsessed with this notion. Early days still, but it might possibly be the case that this is possibly one season too far for Batth. If it is who cares? the only thing that matters from our point of view is that he was excellent for us last year - a lot better than Hyam was - end of. Hyam has also struggled badly in the past alongside other partners, primarily Carter. I couldn't really give a shiney shite how either of them do for their new Clubs tbh, they're not our players any more.
  23. I now believe that Rudy is a bigger twat than Waggott. A remarkable achievement for Rudy.
  24. Indeed not. "Just clip its' horns and wipe its' arse!"
