What exposure? That's a 7:30am kickoff on the East Coast and a 5:30am kickoff on the West Coast of the US. We have new media darlings Wrexham and Birmingham in the league - both owned by Americans. Surely their new US fans won't want to wake up at that time to watch them?

It's clear they're looking for ANYTHING to latch on to. This club treats its fans with contempt. -

That's a really good point. As a kid I used to play regularly on Saturday mornings. Then back home for dinner and then off to the match - or straight to an away match if that was do'able. That would have been impossible with 12.30 kick-offs and might have meant I never got into the habit of regularly watching Rovers. I ended up being a regular at Ewood for the next 30 years! -

If that was the case we'd have fast-tracked Duru to the first team and not bothered with Alebiosu. For whatever reason they just don't seem to fancy Duru. -

It's clearly a financial thing - him, Buckley and JRC being ushered out as they signed deals under Broughton. Probably all on 10k+ pw and doesn't fit their model of you need to be a starter to earn that. On the other hand, if Pears rocked up to pre-season unable to train fully because of a dodgy hair transplant then completely understand why club want him moved - but that can't come at the expense of having an actual back up goalkeeper. -

I think it probably comes down Rovers being distressed seller again, and the puttaince in the pre arranged fee is probably a few pennies more than the compensation if he moves to the states at the end of his contract -

Well we have an option so in effect he is contracted to us to 2027 if we want him. So we have voluntarily pre-agreed a transfer value with San Diego. It's a bit of a puzzling one - what is there in it for us to pre-agree a transfer fee? His wages won't be massive so it's not like we would be desperate to get him off our books? If he goes and has a stormer and his value goes into 7 figures we have to accept the lower fee. If he has a bad time he gets sent back. Confusing. -

I find it bizarre he has been frozen out for Michaleski, can only be a financial thing as he is clearly a better and more experienced keeper at this time. -

On a serious note, if Buckley does go to Saudi we may see levels of languid football up to now thought impossible. A relaxed play style in 40 degrees heat. A pivoting central midfielder who literally stands on one spot and pivots
