Rovers's January transfer needs
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He’s not got the qualities you need to play that role. First and foremost, you have to play in a disciplined fashion. You need to be able to spot danger before it happens, intercept play, tackle, move the ball on quickly, and don’t get drawn out of position when you have possession. Lots of opponents will let you carry the ball forward when you’re playing in that position, they’re hoping to catch you downfield when they win the ball. None of this fits the bill with Taveres as far as I can see. I see Taveres as a Cantwell wanna be. -
What can you do about the kick offs when the world cup is in Canada, Mexico and USA? FIFA's ticket price is ridiculous and unnecessary

Who exactly is supposed to have been abused, other than us fans for the last 15 years? I don't condone personal abuse of any kind, but if you poke a bear you get a reaction, albeit Rovers fans have always been more of the Care Bear variety, not verocious at all, but it is the quiet ones you should not start baiting. Getting McCloughlin to come out to give this message is also pathetic from Pasha, the owners and Gestede, whoever made this happen, you'd get more respect if you fronted up yourself rather than putting a player in fron of the camera whoI don't believe anyone has any anomosity towards. They will use this to ensure any sign of descent in the crowd is dealt with by ejections, because they now have this excuse of "abuse won't be tolerated", I didn't think the owners/leaders could stopp much lower, but they keep exceeding expectations. -

The best role for him would be at a different football club in a much lower league. -
Football sadly has long ceased to become a game directed for the benefit of the fans. Prices, kick off times, further attempts at greed, we are just collateral damage.

Lots of I think and guesses as to what might have happened at Boro but ultimately he will be better off financially, he will be probably living back at home and they are factors you ridiculously said at the time he shouldnt consider. And backed up with saying that Theo Walcott said the same as if that was a clincher! Money is still important even if you earning a good wage to begin with, its better to have a lot more.

I think the interview was with BBC Lancs, post Oxford game I think.

This is just plain stupid, I'm sorry.

If our quasi-oligarch owners really are so rich, why aren't they treating us like a frivolous plaything, like other unfathomably wealthy, psychopath owners? Yeah yeah, FFP limits how much they can invest in the playing squad... fine (I probably accept, and espouse, such arguments more than I should). But what's stopping them from investing millions in Ewood and reviving it such that it's one of the best stadiums and matchday experiences in England? (or at least a goddamn drainage system that actually works?) What's stopping them from subsidising a top-flight women's team? Boom, obvious goodwill and PR. Why all the murmurs and handwringing about the immense costs of a Cat 1 Academy? Fuck the cost. You should be able to take legitimate pride in producing the likes of Adam Wharton, not belatedly mumbling about not realising how good he is. Sustainability this, financial implications that... fuck that. Sell some tract of land in India that you own for god knows why and blow it on Rovers infrastructure and the wider community. Stop pretending Rovers are some sort of long-term investment that will eventually pay off* and embrace the insanity of being rich enough to own a sports club. *Probably the fiction they need to spin to India's 'Enforcement Directorate'. (I honestly wonder if this line of attack could effectively hit their pride...) -

It would explain the strange views of one or 2 online How much would it cost for Venkys/Pasha/Rudy to buy a few hundred pro Venkys "bots" to post on twitter/LT/here? -
2 weeks before Xmas feels like a hell of a time to discover I'm not real. Then again, if I don't exist, then Venky's don't exist too right. Every cloud.

Completely agree with the midfield pairings but tbh, I'm yet to find a midfield pairing I do like. Tronstad has to be 1 of the 2 in any pairing but: Sonny & TGH: Best we can do at the moment. Not enough creativity between them. Sonny & Forshaw: As above but with slightly less energy as Forshaw hasn't got the legs anymore. Sonny & Taveres: Just the worst pairing. They both end up occupying the same space. Taveres is the opposite of the high workrate of TGH. Sonny & Montgomery: Montgomery has the energy and work rate but has gotten lost in games to an extent and also has the same lack of creativity as TGH. Sonny & Baradji: Feel like this will be the one for a few months at the end of the season before Sonny leaves in the summer and we're back to square 1. -

They are back to the dived and conquer tactics but utter pointless this time. The boy who cried wolf will be ignored now even if hes about to be eaten this time. Happy clappers aren't happy clappers anymore just look at the ground and zero atmosphere that is now regular not the odd one. People have had enough. -
I haven't seen the interview so Ive missed that. I think it will at TGH at right back/wing back until O'Riordan is back
-
The World Cup ticket pricing for games is a fecking joke. 4 times more expensive than the last World Cup pricing, a lot of regular fans who attend international games priced out of attend them

Lions led by donkeys… That we aren’t a Reading/Wednesday/Bury…we are just run very badly. Most folks first Q to me is “are you guys still owned by that lot in India?” -
Seeing as we are playing the predicting game I think that if/when Tronstad is back, it will be TGH at RWB, or if Tronstad isn't ready yet, then Litherland/Atcheson will be brought in at at RCB with Miller moving to RWB Also have a sneaking suspicion that unless Hedges is fit, De Neve will be brought in at LWB, with Ribeiro as LCB, and Pratt relegated to the bench... Nothing against Pratt, but think De Neve may be seen as covering for the pace lost by Alebiosu not being with us, whilst Ribeiro is more natural to cover for De Neves lack of positional awareness down our left side. I believe Alebiosu is still available this weekend. if so, then any predictions are as of the Millwall game next weekend
-
I've seen enough of Hedges at RWB to last me a lifetime, that dingles away performance was the stuff of nightmares. TGH out to the right, and then Tronstad and Baradji in the middle maybe.
-
Back to BS again, him and Wolves will be the championship next season. Is Edwards short of money? Nope. I think he would have took Boro up this season and Gibson would have back him in January and next summer. What sort of backing is he getting at Wolves in January to reshape the squad for next season?

I'm sure Ismael was asked in an interview (BBC Lancs, i think) about Carter suggesting on social media that he's nearly back, VI responded saying he was still some way off yet and his post was more likely regarding being mentally on the right track. I think Carter is still some months away from a return. I think the most likely option to replace Alebiosu at RWB would be Hedges shifted over and De Neve/Yuri play on the left. TGH is a possibility but there is no one left to play CM if he goes.

They picked one of the players with no sense of the change over the last 15 years and wrote him a script. We have seen this a few times over the years(that scum fullback etc) including Dunny. They are running out of wiggle room....the CABAL must have had a meeting and thought of ways to deflect the blame WITHOUT too much getting to Pune. There is no such thing as a Board of Directors just Sohail and his quislings. The kitchen table in Pune HAS to hear more about our 'deathfall' . How can we get in personal difficulty if all we are doing is challenging them?
