  1. Past hour
  2. It was hyperbolic but he is certainly nowhere near good enough for a Championship club. He came in with the advantage of replacing Gallagher who had stayed too long and become unpopular. It was assumed that we couldnt get worse, we managed it, but combined with his clearly infectious character, people werent and many still wont have it. The goals and assist thing is a good example of the above. He wasnt scoring goals so people used the goal and assist stat. So its including him missing open nets and the ball hitting his heel, or winning headers 30 yards out as the equivalent to a goal. Bringing him on late in theory can cause carnage but more often than not he just totally spoils any attacks standing offside or losing the ball. Starting games, our record was far worse last season when he started. I would have liked another striker but I would happily shift Gueye.
  3. Wage saving, every little helps our poor billionaire owners.
  4. I understand selling him, but really what are we getting by loaning him
  5. Heโ€™s clearly not a โ€˜waste of spaceโ€™ at worst heโ€™s a poor forward that bagged a few goals and assists. Admittedly heโ€™s been bad more than good and exclusively bad so far this season (and Iโ€™d say since the manager came in) Iโ€™ve said all summer I expected him to go so not too surprising but would rather we had another option to replace him rather than nobody, as I still think chasing a game he can be an option with Millers long throw
  6. As the Aussie cricketer and ex WW2 fighter pilot Keith Miller once said when he was asked about the pressure of going out to bat in an Ashes test - โ€œ Pressure ? Playing cricket isnโ€™t pressure. Pressure is when you have an ME 109 on your tail and you canโ€™t shake him off ! โ€œ
  7. Yes you are spot on this has been going on for too long they need to be removed
  8. Buckley snapping people ? He might just bounce the ball on his head, thatโ€™s his limit.
  9. I hope his boots are still in the loft. Weโ€™ve sold the paintings off the wall. Now we are selling the carpets off the floor.
  10. Every other team in the league has multiple attacking options. We've decided 2 CF is enough and we can sell the other one. Injuries? Loss of form? Nah, we don't account for those. It's criminal what these people are doing.
  11. You are 2 subs light, it's been 5 from 9 for a few years now, so assuming Baradji doesn't make a Lazarusesc revival, its probably Axel & De Neve or Tyjon (assuming Gueye is gone by then, & Pears still in the cold)
  12. If our 10k passive home fans are too much for these poor little lambs then they are probably in the wrong game.
  13. Looks like we're just loaning Gueye. Any option to buy will be discarded when they have seen him run offside for the 20th time.
  14. my predicted 11: toth alebiousu miller Wharton ribeiro tavares tron Ryo cantwell hedges Yuki bench - pickering / carter / taylor / monty / katgbo / gudjohnsen / goalie I dont see us getting anything better than a draw at the very best. I thought this against hull and we were superb. Still dont see a win. I do wonder if we may just prefer playing away than at home, as i think it might be less pressure for them away.
  15. Well we are selling him so, again, what options do we have?
  16. It's only a bad thing if football results are the main priority. Here, they aren't. So it doesn't matter to anyone above us peasants.
  17. Okay, what other options do we have? Relying on an untested kid? An inured crock in Bamford?...Crazy.
  18. Today
  19. Michalski, i couldnt be assed to google the name.
  20. Are we talking about the same Dennis ? The one we had on loan last season ? He was beyond shite. A complete waste of money. And we want to do it again ? Crazy.
  21. Nah, weโ€™ll do a Fred Pickering with the latest Pickering.
  22. Too risky to lean on Tyjon. Yuki pulls his hamstring, out for 2 months. Gudjohnson blowing his arse out playing his 15th game straight with a kid as backup??? Madness if you ask me.
  23. When the injuries kick in mid season, we really are knackered.
  24. Said a while ago that they probably think they can survive until January with centre back options they have and they will do the same up front. Maybe, just conjecture, they will keep up to 2.5m for January and spend then (if they really have to) -"hey look, be happy, the new regime/alignment spends money in Jan unlike the previous set up with SWAG."
