  1. Past hour
  2. This great little dashboard chaddy found makes it look like we're well in the green river level wise. Publishes a measure every 15 mins. https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/station/5048
  3. They could do with a smart drainage system, at Ewood.😁
  4. Last night it was much higher, half covering the outlet pipe on the far right of the second picture
  5. I'm in two minds at the moment, whats the river like at Ewood.
  6. Just messaged my daughter to see if she was going or if she's working. She's working, so decision made, heating on & watching it on TV on the warm. Balls to it. Not dragging my arse down there in this for another likely abandonment.
  7. River is pretty high.. rains not so bad locally atm though PXL_20251004_093448805.TS.mp4
  8. Whoever’s going don’t. This weather is appalling. Just watch it in the comfort of your homes and when we lose it’ll be fine as you won’t have to drench yourself in the rain when walking back
  9. It’s horrific out this morning just been out with the dog. If I drag my ass all the way to ewood and they call it off during the match will be very annoyed.
  10. I would like to hear, “ It’s raining men “ as we have very few on the field and none off it .
  11. You've just reminded me that as we were exiting the ground after the official announcement against Ipswich the Travis song, Why Does It Always Rain On Me was played over the PA system.
  12. There’s nothing smart down at Ewood these days.
  13. I have given you the answer to your question
  14. It's windy and intermittent heavy rain... Not as wet as last weekend though imo. That was ridiculous. I'll have a walk to the river shortly and look. I think it'll be on atm
  15. Water levels. This is as exciting as it gets with Rovers these days
  16. Lifted my spirits pre match just now. Asked Alexa to play Supertramp “It’s Raining Again.”
  17. It hit a high on the 20th against Ipswich of 1.69. It hit 1.1 yesterday. Question is how high covers the outlet? Rivers Darwen Ewood historical levels.
  18. You are avoiding the question. If he only returned in April and played 5 games and did well, would that make it a good signing, according to your logic. The question is whether it makes sense to sign someone with a serious injury. Even if he is good, he misses a big chunk of the season. Tavares is crap. And the cup game doesnt count for you judging Ismael so im not sure what the rules are there. TGH is average.
  19. I've searched can't see it. Peaked at 9pm last night at 1.11m then fell to 0.6m at 7am, now at 0.62m.
  20. The wind is certainly a greater risk to the people going to the game.
  21. The Darwen flows into the Ribble at Walton-le-Dale, downstream of Samlesbury. In any event the water isn't going to back up the river as far as Ewood. The issue is the other way, how much water comes down the valley into Darwen and the river. The Met Office had a yellow warning for rain for today yesterday but that has gone now. I would have thought that the wind is a bigger risk of the game being postponed right now.
  22. Genuine question. Any historical way it seeing the level it was at 2 weeks ago?
  23. I'd us rather be known as the club who had a problem, then fixed it. But that won't happen.
  24. Does anyone know if Ewood has a smart meter? 😂
  25. Oh no! I was thinking last night when I saw the rain was carrying on into today that this just wouldn't be playable. If I were the club last night I would seriously have thought about taking a better safe than sorry approach and calling it off at 8am before the Stoke fans set off. If this game isn't played in full then it's a disaster for BRFC from an optics perspective. I'd much rather take the flack for being too cautious than be known as the club who constantly abandons/postpones games late in the day.
