There have been a couple of major EV innovations in China from CATL, the world's biggest battery producer, and BYD, the world's second biggest battery producer and also a major car manufacturer now. BYD unveiled a car they've made which can charge at 1 MW (1000 KW), which is enough to charge 250 miles in 5 minutes A few weeks later, CATL unveiled a new battery capable of being charged at 1.3 MW, the Shenxing Superfast Charging Battery that can add 323 miles of charge in 5 minutes. This puts EVs pretty close to being on par with combustion cars for topping up. A small enough difference as to not matter when you add in the ability to essentially 'refuel' at home for far lower prices. It means range anxiety will become an irrelevance, even if the technology doesn't go further still. The problem for the time being of course, is the chargers required for these cars. 1 MW chargers do exist in China, I'm not sure if they're installed in the west at all yet, but in both cases there are far too few and the infrastructure will need to be built. But it'll come.

Maybe if we were even attempting to reach the top level then we'd stand a chance of keeping hold of some of these players.

Suhail might be the one on the ground at Ewood calling the shots and h e clearly has a certain level of impunity and free reign to do as he pleases, but he's still just a venky lap dog. The decision to relegate us from the prem and never make a single attempt to get back along with relegation to league one is all on them. Don't forget that.

I suppose in a blind optimism Drameh could be back up to Brittain, as Ismael's style needs 4 healthy wing/fullbacks. He may also want to switch to 3-4-3.

Drameh played quite a few games at left back for Hull too so would be good cover for both sides. But seems all too likely that he'd be a Brittain replacement than cover

Cherki has been threatening to play for Algeria, so he rather forced France's hand into playing him in a competitive match to lock him in (even though it was likely an empty threat).

It’s definitely not his preference. He’s too good to play with the kids, already has international tournament experience and wants to get bedded into the first team ahead of the world cup. He would obviously prefer a full summer’s break so he’s ready for preseason.

He didn't He would be a decent signing as back up/competition for Brittain, but if he is Brittains replacement then it is a significant downgrade He does have decent pace though
