  1. Past hour
  2. If you think the club are beyond spinning it that he covers both positions, it may be an unpleasant finish to the transfer window. This is our last ESC slot I think, unless I'm having a brain fart, and they've struggled to land a RW with a slot available (as they could have cancelled Mafoumbi at any time). Let's not forget De Neve has played a lot of his football as a LB and LWB but he's basically playing on the wing here.
  3. Some “fans” on X will say “how dare he say this when we signed him when he was a nobody and this is how he treats the club” no doubt. And fans spinning a narrative that “Trav ain’t that good he’s a bang average player” is so odd.
  4. Bombay Bicycle Club - Shuffle
  5. Yeah the chair thing is daft - when we left Kaiser Chiefs early it was like a bloody obstacle course trying to get away! Similarly we tried to make our way around the main stage crowd while Courteeners were on and it was nigh on impossible. They need to do something to contain the chairs to a certain area - it was like seeing Brits on holiday at times with their beach towels - groups of empty chairs set out it 'reserve' a decent spot at the main stage for later while their owners were away watching something else. Have booked again for 2026 🙂
  6. But why we have to ask? Isak is able to release a statement why isn’t Travis?
  7. Honestly it’s embarrassing, some fans should start showing a backbone and stop accepting it, I feel some people deserve this regime by how they blindly criticise players/staff for leaving and how fans spin narratives like “he isn’t that good anyway, he’s dirty” is strange
  8. If Baradji does sign, surely we have to loan a midfielder on top. We wont, but we should.
  9. Mad that they do indeed have just this one actual skill, and no others, and it has to be one that actively fucks us over and helps prolong the misery.
  10. I asked you on the Fans forum thread, page 148. If you read from there for the next five pages or so, you will see Rover Clitheroe has asked a number of times. Also mentioned by RF99 and in one instance you only addressed one part of the post and ignored the reference to the minutes.
  11. A very random post from me here. Just going to post a very old article https://www.theguardian.com/sport/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2010/dec/21/blackburn-rovers-venkys-jerome-anderson to me it reads they aren’t billionaires that we all think they are… ? Having used a bit of chat gpt as well it doesn’t exactly sound there’s any proof they are billionaires. Few statements in that article also stating there was no information about where they used the money to acquire us. I know it’s old news but thought I’d give it some old spotlight, especially when we are still linked to hiring people of similar agencies…
  12. I think the best we will get from him is an admission that he was never offered a new contract and some comments about how difficult it has been in the last few weeks as he's been fit and wanting to play but was told to stay away. Then it will be the usual PR soundbites about what a great big club Derby are, straight out of the new signing playbook.
  13. I just hope that Travis is man enough to spill the beans. The club shat on him, so hope he bites back.
  14. According to Transfermarket, he's only played RW 5 times. He's being playing CM for pretty much is whole career. He's Trav's replacement.
  15. And if he plays and just goes through the motions trying to avoid injury or he gets himself sent off then he's a liability. There's only one way to end this and we all know what it is and if not ten tell him you are going nowhere till summer so play properly and earn your wages or get suspended and fined. Then you'll be frozen out till the seasons end and only do your chances of a good contract somewhere else major harm. All party's need to stop effing about now including Derby. My own thoughts on this are perhaps those upstairs dragging it out till the windows end then conceding to Derby's offer at the last min therefore nobody else will come in. Derby might well be banking on that or gong along with it.
  16. Travis has never struck me as a character who would refuse to play. Quite the opposite I think he'd put a shift in even if he wasn't 100% fit or ready. Indeed he was available pre-season and at West Brom. So yeah, on balance I'd believe that the issue is more that the Club are desperate to cash in and get his wages gone so are doing their level best to generate some sort of bidding war and ensure he doesn't get injured in the meantime.
  17. The only data I want on this prick is here is your P45 now fuck off back to where you come from, as you downed tools and now we are downing you. The guy is poison.
  18. Posted just as a few were saying it's getting a bit quiet on the incoming transfer front. Hi Privvy 👋
  19. Seems a likely explanation.
  20. I'm sure there are plenty of clubs who would consider themselves to have bad owners, until you know the ins and outs of all clubs it's difficult to pinpoint many outside the obvious. I'd wager than not many day to day football think we have particularly bad owners, we don't make headlines we bumble along apart from the recent managerial debacle but even that causes not much more than a ripple on Talksport for an afternoon.
  21. Seems like being "open and honest" at all times, without a lick of guile or tact isn't quite the positive plenty thought it would be. As @JHRover says, this is a situation entirely of our own doing, and I'm pretty confident it's by design. One thing you can say about the scum who own us is they're masters of spinning narrative and getting a lot of our fans eating out of their hands. I've seen people deride Travis for being leggy, having a low xG and not having an engine. Thick as mince, the lot of them.
  22. The Oystons had hold of Blackpool for 32 years but at least during that time they rebuilt most of Bloomfield Road and had several promotions, including one to the PL. So some bits of good/progression in there. Likewise Glazers - plenty of bad but fundamentally they have continued to invest in their squad and facilities and have won numerous major trophies even in the time since Fergie retired. I'm struggling to think of another ownership regime that has held on to a club for 15 years and counting and delivered nothing good - the highlights, even for their defenders, have been keeping us out of administration and a promotion from the 3rd division.
  23. Rovers in their wisdom have ensured no way back by deliberately making him the problem for 'wanting' a move to Derby and the manager publicly announcing this in his press conference. Had he not done so there would have been a chance of keeping this behind closed doors and rescuing the situation if an appropriate offer didn't materialise. But then again they've known for 12+ months he was getting offloaded and his wages off the books. All deliberate. I suspect he was high on the list for removal last summer and it was only the presence of Eustace and his unwillingness to accept what they were doing that led to him staying last season. All we are seeing is their long term plan being carried out with increasing desperation as we approach deadline day and other than a relatively low bid from Derby probably haven't got the sort of offer that Suhail and his underlings want for their figures.
  24. Which other teams have there been with poor ownership and what would the longest 'Reign' be of such owners? *poor ownership of course is opinion based but focusing on financial drop, league plummets and ludicrous decisions. Rovers - Venkys Blackpool - Oystens Sheff Wednesday - Chansiri Manchester utd - Glazers Mods please move thread if necessary was a bit unsure so posted here
  25. Today
  26. I've been accused several times of being a 'conspiracy theorist' for suggesting that the Club/Regime makes an effort to paint a picture and false narrative of events in a bid to get the media and fanbase on side and against the departing player/staff member. I think after what we have witnessed the last few weeks with Travis we can see what this Regime is all about. Vile, despicable, cowardly. A disgraceful way to conduct business and treat anyone let alone the club captain who has been with us for over a decade and made over 200 senior appearances. But only to be expected these days from this Regime. They belong in the gutter. I'm past the point of caring yet still feel embarrassment and shame to be even linked to this Club these days. And the only thing worse than that is still, after all these episodes and all this time, dozens of fans line up like obedient dogs to swallow the club narrative whole and be taken for another ride.
  27. It seems like there is no way back for Travis at this point. I can see Derby sticking to their original offer and Rovers will be so desperate by the end of next week that they will have to accept it. If Gestede digs his heels in then we are left with a player who doesn't want to be here and Derby will get him for free at some point anyway.
