Yep good for betting but his childishness was ridiculous with pretty much all of his bookings, its hard to believe he didn't get clattered a bit more as a result. Looked like he couldn't be arsed half the time, there's definitely some talent there but I doubt anyone is going to put his attitude right and his face straight at this stage...

It's always been a bit odd how under multiple managers Lowe has never been replaced. If he goes now it implies he was either in bed with Waggott or Ismaeel has a bit more sway than previous managers. Pretty sure it's the first option.

It was suggested that Lowe was once sacked and he went to the owners and was reinstated. As forever Blue mentioned the Twitter account Rovers insider has suggested he is unsackable and did have a direct line to the owners. It would seem to be a big deal, if he does get moved on.

This bloke has been borderline unsackable for years, so this is quite a surprise. This seems like the most plausible reason as to why he stuck around for so long, when managers and assistants came and went.

Maybe Lowe was Waggott’s man on the training ground, rather than Venky’s man on the inside? It’s always interesting to see who else loses their job when a Senior figure departs an organisation. Regardless, it’s the Rudy/Pasha show now.

Disagree entirely. Lowe getting out is a HUGE positive. Rumours he was fired and rehired in a shady way around the time Lambert was around.

Interesting. I think a couple of years ago this would have been seen as a big positive (on here anyway), but now he has filled in and done a reasonable job as caretaker it probably isn't going to be as popular. He used to be widely considered untouchable. I wonder what changed, or if he ever was untouchable after all rather than just lucky and good enough at his job to be kept around.

Wasn't there a rumour a while back that David Lowe provides updates to the owners on how the squad etc is doing? Maybe someone wanted him cut out of the loop.

I would think that those exact funds have to be spent on whatever is specified, and a money trail provided...but that it frees up other funds that would have had to go to that. We have spent a couple of undisclosed fees this window, and other fees during this shenanigans, so we clearly aren't banned from spending on players.

Considering he stepped in and did a (i think) decent job when the club pissed off JE, this is a shame.
