  1. Past hour
  2. I presume it’s just the two end blocks as the camera side end block is now on sale and the next to last block on the other side has now been sold.
  3. Please can you stop trolling now? Thanks.
  4. …31 in all competitions and scored 16 goals, not bad ay. I’m not saying AW hasn’t the potential, course he does, but ‘much better’, as of now, which is where this debate started, of course he isn’t (just some mischief making going on from quite a strange new poster by the looks of it).
  5. Not diverting away from the owners at all. All the Anderson/Shebby Singh chaos predated Waggott. The fact we were appallingly run was never in doubt. The question was whether anything illegal or sufficiently in breach of FA guidelines had occurred. Rightly or wrongly the Authorities must have decided at the time it hadn't. Why do you always leap to Waggott’s defence?
  6. He made 26 appearances in the prem at 21. 24 the following year. A stretch to call him a regular then and he was often playing further forward than cm. My opinion Wharton better at 21 than scholes was
  7. Why does it always divert away from the owners and to Waggott?
  8. The suggestion was that our initial allocation was circa 3800, and past 'sell outs' have been circa 5500, so probably another 1700 to go at in that end. This would suggest a full block and then the two small end blocks still to go.
  9. I never denied its benefits. I said there is a massive overreliance on it, too much importance is placed on it and it is flawed. Conclusions are reached based solely on them, often illogically. Chaddy said that Anderson is the best midfielder in the league because he was top rated in a hand full of pre selected metrics. He also said that it proves that he should start next to Rice without considering the context of him playing a different role in a different team of different quality. He might be great at "progressive carries" for example but I dont think its a key requirement in the type of player we need next to Rice. You mention xg. A player runs through on goal, takes too long and doesnt get his shot away. Hes had a great chance, its 0 xg. A players pass completion will be better if he keeps things safe and makes no attempt to pass it forward. Forward passes could be 1 yard forward to someone essentially next to them or a defence splitting 30 yard pass. Metrics surrounding chances created will be affected by whether the striker gets a shot away. There are so many grey areas.
  10. Sheffield Wednesday have just bought in Liam Cooper and said he’s likely to start on the weekend. Kind of flies in the face of VAs comments that free players wouldn’t be fit for 6 weeks plus.
  11. Looks like there is still a full block at the other end now put on sale. That end actually holds about 5900 so there's no chance it's being full but knowing our lot they won't take anymore if they have to pay for the lot regardless of if they all sell.
  12. Didn't win POTY at his only club, that's bad isn't it? For 'one of the best midfielders ever'
  13. How many votes did he get?
  14. I think JDT needs to be careful where he goes next, 2nd season at rovers was poor and Sweden tenure an utter disaster. He needs his next appointment to be perfect or his career will sadly start to diminish. He's neither a promotion specialist (Warnock type) or a relegation avoider (Allardyce type) I'd avoid the English game altogether for now and re coup with less pressure and re build confidence if I was him.
  15. Good god. Are these the metrics now, I know you’re taking the piss, but still. OK, I’ll take you on. He was in teams of the decade, halls of fame and all the rest of it, so we can all cherry pick individual baubles for our argument. But as he didn’t win POTY in an era full of top footballers, he’s no Adam Wharton. Aye, good one.
  16. He was nominated 5 times for Ballon D'or
  17. Knew about Anderson years ago. Very highly rated by Howe and Newcastle was forced to sell him to met FFP ruled Scholes was a world class player.. Wharton isn't anyway near his level. Maybe one day
  18. We’ve pretty much ‘sold out’, just a couple of single seats left. We haven’t really as they haven’t put the end blocks on sale, presumably they will be doing later today?
  19. Sounds like JDT wasn't happy with the "project" on offer and the potential financial support available before he even started this time. Devil's advocate mode on: Is he the Championship equivalent of "a cheque book manager?" O Neill needs to be careful as well. As various managers including Allardyce have noted, once you're out of work, it doesnt take long before the phone stops ringing. Edit: And O Neill doesn't have anything like the track record of an Allardyce to justify being so picky.
  20. Surely if he was an elite footballer at that level for so long he'd have won one POTY or been nominated for Ballon D'or?
  21. A heads up on this one for those still thinking of going it's unlikely there'll be pay on the day with Knobbers having virtually sold out. Even though there's probably still plenty left for the away end.
  22. No, he was an elite footballer and did it at the very highest level for fifteen years.. Adam isn’t close at this stage.
