  1. Past hour
  2. Take Whartons case, nobody is asking for the whole fee to be reinvested, but half of that fee would have bought two very good championship players, and it's what all normal clubs do. Here though it's just a few hundred grand here and there, and pass it off as significant investment.
  3. Below is what Chorley are offering. In the 15 game package you can use more than one ticket per game so in theory it reads that you can use all 15 for one match. They simply issue all 15 tickets in one bundle so it's not too onerous to utilise. DUE to unprecedented demand, we are excited to announce a brand new Season Ticket type ahead of the new season, the SUPER 15. Many of you reached out to tell us you'd struggle to commit to all 23 league games with a standardised Season Ticket, so, we've listened to your feedback to come up with this brand new initiative. A SUPER 15 ticket will grant you 15 match tickets, to be able to pick which game you want to attend, for only £200. This is only £13.33 per game! If you wish to bring a friend, family member with you - no problem. The 15 tickets will be issued physically to each paying customer, meaning the flexibility lies with you to pick and choose as you wish.
  4. Er no. As others have pointed out, he has a good engine and can get up and down but we haven't seen him do anything to worry the opposite full back or any crunching defensive tackles. With him and Hedges on the other side we may negate other team's threat out wide but there will be minimal goals/assists coming from either.
  5. Yes that’s the annoying thing as a fan if the model is to work the money must be reinvested correctly not a very small portion of it
  6. I think that too. There’d be a point to that if the fees were then invested in better and better potential. I don’t see this happening though.
  7. Yep, this will definitely be his last season for us, especially if he chips in a few more G/A...He'll move abroad next, La Liga or MLS.
  8. I think the aim is they sign for less than the structure early and if/when they fulfill their potential they are sold on for decent fees. That’s the aim
  9. There’s no point having players with potential if our wage structure means they leave as soon as they fulfil it.
  10. I know what you mean. If you watch him on the pitch he doesn't half moan when things don't go his way. I imagine he can be quite difficult to work with as a result. I actually think, he thinks he's better than he is, which don't get me wrong he does show patches of class - He's definitely regressed as he's got older. I really enjoy watching him though, and still think he'll play a huge part this season. I was worried how he'd react to Val knowing what type of character he is but looking at TC in pre season, he looks good! If he was just a tad quicker then he would be unstoppable...He runs like he's 10 stone heavier.
  11. Big season for Cantwell because he'll need a new club this time next year so i expect a good season from him and hopefully he can stay fit.
  12. This requires forward and proper planning, so unlikely I would suggest.
  13. If the mid-week games had attractive pricing, people might attend ,but not use one of their 15 tickets ?
  14. Bolton have introduced some sort of flexi ticket despite selling probably double what we have. Seen a few of their fans saying it's a bit pointless because ST's in certain sections are cheap enough to buy then not bother if you miss half the games. Used to be like that here.
  15. Why cant I warm to this player? Noticed he walked off the pitch on his own after going to the fans.
  16. So like I said, M_B, it won’t happen here, not that it wouldn’t be a great option for fans here. Yes, I’m aware what a flexi ticket is, was merely listing different ticket options released during a season. We won’t be seeing a flexi ticket to pick and choose games (I.e the option to now drop the inconvenient ones like a stone) offered in the summer next to a full ST, it’s as simple as that.
  17. Having said the above 😁😁 23 people (15 fans, 8 club representatives) attended the last meeting for which the minutes have been published. I think this number is too high, if nothing else it makes agreeing on the minutes nigh on impossible. I guess the counter to this is that if only (say) 4 people attended for each side, the ‘closed shop’ argument would gain more traction.
  18. We need to stop pinning our hopes on Leonard and root out another striker from somewhere.
  19. I have many criticisms of the fans forum, some probably justified others almost certainly not. I keep these to myself as I have neither the drive, determine nor the wherewithal to take part in these meetings.
  20. Really? Define rare pretty sure over the last 5/6 seasons there’s been a good few players hitting 20 goals plus
  21. In an ideal world perhaps, but I don’t think anyone in the Championship got 20 league goals last season. It’s quite rare in fact. We’ve been a bit spoiled with the goal returns on the last few years of AA and BBD. Most clubs in the Championship never have a 20 goal striker.
  22. The ticket website they use said the kick off is 13.00 when I went to book tickets last night. I emailed Curzon Ashton and the have confirmed it's definitely 15.00 kick off.
  23. I think Leonard showed a lot of promise under JDT, but he needs games in L1 to build his confidence. I think his movement is really good, similar to Ohashi in the way he finds space. He just needs a bit of luck with injuries.
