  1. Past hour
  2. That would leave us massively short so I really hope not.
  3. Although not cast in stone it is usually done when the visiting team are from a senior league. And that is usually reciprocated by the visitors. There are some pennants I believe on display at Ewood from friendlies past.
  4. They think Ohashi, Gueye, Tyjon and Leonard are sufficient for one position? Questions on their quality but sign a striker and it sends the message to Tyjon that a pathway to the first team isn't as close as they may have suggested to him
  5. I was really hoping today's thread would be a battle over whether or not someone got the exciting scoop on a preseason friendly the other week.
  6. Is this a thing? Exchanging pennants at kickoff in friendlies?
  7. Tremendous spell from Atkinson this morning which atoned for England's dreadful bowling yesterday Duckett and Crawley in full kamikaze Bazball mode at present going along at 8 an over Have India given up? It looks like it
  8. Not sure it was a figment of his/her imagination
  9. From LT article today. Surely another striker is now priority over another CB ? Rovers still want to sign a right-winger, attacking midfielder and secure further cover at centre-back. Millerโ€™s fee is thought to be around the ยฃ1million mark all-in and so, hopefully, the trade with Brittain gives additional funds for Rudy Gestede to source further reinforcements across the squad
  10. From what I've seen so far in the transfer window, I'm hardly blown away by any Championship club and their signings. A lot of clubs have lost players too, so maybe we won't truly see who the real standout teams are for a good number of weeks. I live in Southampton and watched a few of their matches. They look so disjointed at the moment and the fans are quite worried - especially after the disaster of last year. I'm sure I've read the same about other teams too. I think this season could be about assembling a squad thatโ€™s cohesive, tactically aligned, and has a clear understanding of what they need to do to win games. When every player knows their role and the team operates as a unified unit, thatโ€™s when performances become consistent, momentum builds, confidence grows and results follow. Based on what I've seen so far in pre-season, we tick a few of those boxes. It's just a question of whether we're strong enough as a team, in terms of depth and quality, to maintain consistency. We definitely need a few more players who can improve the team, but I'm pleased with the signings so far. If we do well, then perhaps key players will believe in this new project and sign extensions. It's also pleasing to see some players from last year grow in confidence. I expect good things from Yuki, Cantwell, and I wouldn't be surprised to see an improved Gueye now he's settled in England, has some French speaking players in the squad. He will grow and could become a surprise to us all. As to who we should sign, I still go with what Mark Hughes once said. You should sign players to improve the first XI. Let's hope V.I and Rudy can do that....and check the fax machine still works!
  11. Lewis Miller is a RB / CB cover, 2 for 1. Itll be Baradji and a winger and then weโ€™ll be done. Is my bet.
  12. What a terrible lack of vision from Wrexham! How on earth are they expecting to develop him and then sell him on to someone higher up the food chain for a profit whilst furiously doggy paddling to keep their heads above water in the lower reaches of the division
  13. Today
  14. Wrexham signed Conor Coady for ยฃ2m - another good buy
  15. Not really - opinion versus erroneous claim. The poster was trying to diss me with an erroneous claim. Seems like the Twitter post he referred to was a figment of his imagination.
  16. Surely we won't be able to hit his wages.
  17. I could see Cooper signing as a stop gap between the first team and centre backs such as Atchenson.
  18. Thank you! One day after my post on here (20 July). I rest my case @roversfan99 !
  19. Struggling to find a Twitter post about the Netherlands friendly you said was posted days before my post?
  20. 1. Winners of the Championship Birmingham 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Ipswich 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Leicester, Sheff Utd, S'hampton, Boro 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Preston, Hull, Sheff Weds 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 7th 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Derb... Only joking, I'll go Sheff Weds 7. Winners of the Premier League Arsenal 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) We beat Burnley in the cup. Post your replies below & weโ€™ll see who is BRFCSโ€™s own Nostradamus come next May!
  21. Agree. De Neve/kargbo, Cantwell, Tyjon, Hedges/ New signing are unknown qualities and players who donโ€™t contribute enough in terms of Goals and assists. Relying on Gueye and Ohashi to both bag a hat full. This RW signing has to be spot on and someone with the quality to add goals/assists to the team. Definitely need another CAM/striker. looking at the bench is even worse, Lost Weimann who was our go to guy to try win games late on. Thereโ€™s nothing else left on there really who has the experience to contribute
  22. That's not quite accurate. In the podcast, he says he'll stay abroad for as long as possible and that he's open to staying with Rovers, but he hasn't received any concrete offer from them.
  23. Not having a striker lined up is baffling. We have never replaced Szmodic. When Ohashi was signed last year, Eustace referred to him as the Telalovic replacement (similar outlay). Gallagher went and Makhtar arrived (clearly like for like). Szmodic left and no replacement. Leonard isn't reliable injury wise and Tyjon isn't going to lead the line. There is a serious lack of goals in the side.
  24. Did you not give off to me last week for copying and pasting something you had said last year - calling me a troll? Now youโ€™re looking for someone to do the same because it may suit yourself. Funny that
  25. May as well as have our captain take a dump or the boots of his opposite number whilst we are at it ๐Ÿ˜‰
  26. Struggling to find a Twitter post about the Netherlands friendly you said was posted days before my post? Think your estimate is as abysmal as the rubbish you post about me. For the benefit of other MB users and their enjoyment of this MB, can I suggest you park the personal and abusive vendetta you have for me.
