  1. Past hour
  2. Not sure. Having looked it up it seems as though Terry Garbutt (who I thought was really ordinary) went to Sheffield Utd and Cosmos at the same time as Tony Field and also played with Pele.
  3. 11/10 The guy's a second rate plodder and should never have been anywhere near this club. Amazing how many got sucked in by him spinning a few yarns. Just happy turning up and clipping the ticket, you want to do that then go and work in a warehouse or some shit.
  4. Today
  5. Did he not score MOTDs goal of the season at Sheffield, beating about six players and rounding the goalie?
  6. Blimey, Id completely forgotten about that. There were three of them altogether weren't there including Smallwood who were in a similar sort of position and got extensions because good old Tone didn't want them to feel left out. Not quite as bad as giving Gladwin a new deal so he could use our facilities to get fit but still absolutely scandalous.
  7. Followed Furphy to 1st Division Sheffield Utd. Don't think he did much there but ended up at New York Cosmos who at the time had signed people like Pele and Beckenbauer at the end of their careers. Famously there's a picture of him with Pele, Id imagine he's the only ex Rovers player to have played with him! Not sure if any played against him when he was younger.
  8. I canโ€™t agree with that, as his legs would be permanently wide open.
  9. interesting article on Venkys and financing Rovers. https://eflanalysis.com/news/venkys-to-surpass-150m-mark-at-blackburn-rovers-very-soon-and-it-raises-big-questions/
  10. It really doesn't matter whether our new signings are good or bad. If they turn out bad we'll probably be relegated. If they turn out to be excellent the best 4 or 5, will be sold off at the end of the season ,the bulk of the transfer money will go to recurrent expenditure and we'll start "the project" again. If they are mediocre, we'll just bumble along as usual. That's the reality of being owned by Venkys now and why I don't care half as much as I used to.
  11. Yesterday
  12. The funny thing with Graham is that he was crap at Sunderland, came here and was pretty solid, then went back to Sunderland and was rubbish again ๐Ÿคฃ
  13. Went to primary school with James, used to give me piggy backs across the puddles ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  14. It's concerning that Gent want to ditch him after a year, for what they paid for him - but then again Alan Shearer isn't walking through that door. We'll just have to see if he's any good if he signs for us.
  15. Was gutted for weeks when Tony Field left. Exciting lil player. Not sure how he did after he left us.
  16. I have to accept your first answer.
  17. McTominay was wrongly profiled as a defensive midfielder. Since moving to Napoli, and for Scotland, he has thrived as an attacking midfielder. Suppose with Bruno there he was unlikely to get a game at United.
  18. Not really. He may join, he may not, that account doesnt know either way. See post above from me about the guess of supposed free agent Vincent Janssen.
  19. Same account had us interesred in Vincent Janssen earlier. As a free agent despite him having a club. Seems like a new account desperate to be seen as an ITK. He may well sign, but this account doesnt know either way.
  20. I hope so, 5 in 32 not gonna fire us up the league is it.
  21. Beating Grimsby...it's not for everybody ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. Pasha does not have a clue about football, that is quite apparent. i believe after all the talk about Wharton leaving for relative peanuts in this day and age, he thinks heโ€™s doing the fans a favour and asking for more cash. he wonโ€™t know that Wharton is destined for big things and to be fair Leonard is probably heading towards his level. let him go and build a decent career and get a new striker in the door.
  23. Is Andri Gudjohnsen on his way to Rovers now? ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ
