  1. Past hour
  2. Tommy Fleetwood 4 pts Entire US team 3.5 pts 😀
  3. Awful, awful, awful. No one can be surprised given our transfer window dealings - in my view, simply disastrous. IMO, the 'mood music' around the club stinks. Spoke with a number of longstanding Roverites following yesterday's game and I would say levels of apathy and disdain are at an all time high. IMO, our club is dying and unless the likes of @glen9mullanand co can quickly pull a rabbit or two out of the hat then we are finished.
  4. Rory has good mates too
  5. Hero.
  6. Multiple comments on facebook sites from Charlton fans saying what the hell did Blackburns boss say to them at half time ? Very odd few days again at Rovers and i suppose something like that was par for the course. I stupidly expected all the nonsense from the last game and everything else in the background to have a galvanising effect. A bit like WBA away last season for example but we got the opposite. However when you've ripped the heart and soul and the few 'leaders' we did have out of the dressing room it's no real wonder it was so limp. Sadly i think there'll be a lot more like that this season.
  7. Alebiosu was really struggling after he got hurt and Charlton sensed he was struggling and played a few balls in behind him. He seemed to recover a bit but then aggravated it making a challenge close to half time. At first it appeared to be a kick which can normally be run off but the sight of him with a protective boot on post match was worrying. On Tavares he looked like a little boy lost at times. He wanted too much time on the ball and was out muscled far too many times. Baradji simply has to get up to speed quickly. Having to rely on a player like Tavares will invariably end up in the same way.
  8. I get that having a left footer and right footer may help in an ideal world. But life is about trade-offs , and surely having a make shift full back who is getting skinned alive by their winger is worse than it being a bit more tricky to pick passes into the right side of the pitch from centre half... I can accept that Ismael didn't realise that TGH was going to be taken apart at RB. But what I cant accept is bringing on Tavares who is no competitor at all, and not changing the RB again after 10 mins when it was obvious we had completely lost control of the game. Very interesting to see how Ismael responds now, especially if Alebiouso is out for Swansea. Ive got an awful feeling he might be the sort of manager to double down on his mistakes, hope I am wrong.
  9. That run of fixtures fills me with dread and emphasises the desperate need for a minimum 4 point from these two home fixtures. Until yesterday, I have been relatively happy with a few of the performances, Hull, Ipswich and Watford especially and also thought we were ok against Norwich and B’ham. However, aside from the Hull match which was a real outlier, the concern is that we are just not creating any real chances. As well as we competed against Ipswich, we didn’t look like scoring until the penalty and aside from a lucky one against Hull, Yuki has hardly had a sniff of goal and that is a real worry ! If this run of fixtures goes as badly as I fear it could, fragile confidence and morale would disintegrate and we would then be looking at a real relegation battle.
  10. I wonder if the Stasi will allow spectators at the Burnley game.
  11. The club is absolutely beyond embarrassing.
  12. Most of what needs to be said about this terrible match has already been said. Yesterday we saw just how misguided this theoretical (Football Manager) approach is – the idea that players can cover lots of different positions. Almost everyone has one position they are good at – and at best they can fill in elsewhere if there’s a crisis. But it shouldn’t be a crisis 7 or 8 games into the season. TGH has, among other things, said that he’s best as a central midfielder, and he was a pleasant surprise against Ipswich. Yesterday – a dreadful performance once he was shifted to right-back. Lewis Miller? He was extremely poor at centre-back, so why wasn’t he prioritized at right-back? Beyond just losing football matches, one might wonder if this is also affecting the confidence of new players who are trying to find their footing in a new league, at a higher level, etc. You have to give it another two or three games before passing judgment on Ismael. So far it’s been a bit mixed. But the squad is a real concern. And let me just add: Rudy out. Pasha out. Venkys out! To ban LT is an utter, utter disgrace.
  13. I can also call confirm that the post that led to Glen receiving legal threats, was one he made on here.
  14. Today
  15. The sooner he is run out of the club the better.
  16. Haha amen to that! Maybe BRFCs could look into funding there own bots for FB, Twitter and LT! It's always funny when you go onto the Rovers FB group, check the people commenting and it's brand new accounts with no link at all to Rovers
  17. You could also add Hendry with Berg, Gale or Pearce to that list. Centre back is arguably the least important position where the strongest foot matters
  18. Maybe so, but it does no favours towards players like Tyjon, Montgomery, Michalski ect, who end up playing next to no football at any level At first team level, they are subs at most, so there is surely no harm in them having 30-45 mins for the U21s each week? If anything, surely that speeds up the conveyor belt?
  19. Trying to rush the kids up to U21's level might have something to do with it as the academy conveyor belt towards the first team is running on low in the near future i'd say.
  20. The I know best, thats emanating from other areas of the club. They are teaching the coach their traits.
  21. Rigger I back you. I've seen enough of Valerian to think what I think on him
  22. I am 66, and I am learning how to use a smart phone. Every day is a school day.
  23. I know it's down to Ismael's thinking but in my view his rationale is flawed. Some of the best centre back pairings I have seen at Rovers haven't been a left/right foot combination. Faz and Keeley, Nelson and Samba and Hyam and Baath. Ismael will use inverted wingers but at centre half he wants something different. His logic is really flawed and contributed to our defeat yesterday in my view. It comes across as 'I know best' arrogance.
  24. What is also scandalous is that some supporters go along with it.
  25. That was beyond a terrible performance. Charlton looked awful and we didn't lay a glove on them. Not getting too upset over it as we've put in some decent performances over the last few games. I'm still confident that Val isn't the man - Happy to be proved wrong but with all what's going on off the pitch we will be milling around bottom half all season.
  26. He's just turned 50, if he's not learnt already, he never will.
  27. Even Tyjon, Michalski, Montgomery etc who are getting no game time for the first team and are still age wise, U21 players I think it's Adam Owen who is responsible for "alignment" between first team and the underage groups, but your point still stands, surely a few should be featuring at some point, the second U21 game last week was essentially the U18s, and a kid who had turned 14 earlier this month ended up playing 30 minutes from the bench, Rovers were 3-1 up when he came on, they lost 4-3
