  1. Past hour
  2. And so Nixon begins peddling the company line, seems Suhail was his in, not Waggott. Batth will not resign, the post just proves we are trying to find a way of blaming him. As for we'll bring in Nade if he doesn't, the usual smokescreen to make it seem like we are being productive. They're not even comparable players, Nade is 8 years younger and left footed, they fill a completely differently roles in the squad. (Now if we do keep Batth and sign Nade, that is a productive move, so can guarantee we won't)
  3. That seems incredibly similar to the model of 10-15 years ago where we forced out all of our proven experienced players and got in a load of random Portuguese lads....
  4. The ED have a 95 per cent success rate when they bring a case so odds very much against the V's
  5. they`ll spend a lot of money on better players who will keep them in the league, can`t see them ever challenging for promotion though
  6. If I was Trav I'd jump at Wrexham, more money, ambitious, growing fan base, positive attitude. Everything we should have/be.
  7. 1 yes (role reversal can be fun 😁) 2. the job I did have involved the need to understand ‘legalese’ (or overcomplicated bollocks intended to make lawyers richer as I call it 😁😁).
  8. Why have we waited so long to offer anyone new deals? Totally unacceptable no matter what excuses they throw up. Should have been sorted long ago. If Travis offer a lot more than we do, then of course he will go. We have hardly showed that we are keen to keep him, we havent even bothered to put a contract in front of him. And Wrexham are far more ambitious than us.
  9. How do you have time to suss all this out? (Very well done btw) Are you a house husband or does your job include shit like this? 👏 Just being nosy like 😁
  10. Exactly and they are going to look rather foolish, let alone vulnerable to a counterclaim, if they don’t have one.
  11. Today
  12. They needed (wording in the law) a ‘reason to believe’ a contravention had taken place to do this. How high a bar this is is anyone’s guess.
  13. The current state of affairs is that Venky's are not sending any money. If they do decide to send more money, the more it will cost them in bonds that they may never get back. Venky's will be getting to the point where they desperately want a conclusion to the investigation or they will be forced into a corner. The last thing they want is for the current situation to drag on..
  14. Exactly why I’m hopeful that they will be found guilty of what they are accused of. I don’t see why ED keep on trying to block them from sending funds, when everything is above board. Neither would they seize 6 properties, if they weren’t confident that they have a case to answer.
  15. Can’t see the appeal with Disney fc I think they will go straight back down, average side with aging league 1 players
  16. This is like a letter to Father Christmas from a 5 year old. Pure fantasy and fairy tale stuff. Grab yourself a stiff drink or two young man.
  17. Just to add to my earlier reply. During the last hearing the judge said something along the lines of ‘if there has been serious wrongdoing things will be different’. I took that as meaning if the investigation goes against the Venkys he’ll put a stop to allowing funds being sent. (I still don’t know how an appeal would affect this).
  18. Gestede was probably adding another 200k to his asking price, he must be devastated. 250k, so close Rudy. Now Fuck Off!
  19. 🖕 not even this one?
  20. Brittain has. Hopefully we start talks with Tronstad and Travis when they back for pre season. So you would offer Batth a 2 year contract at his age? How many clubs offer 34 years old a two contract who turns 35 in September? Think 1 year contract with an option of an extra year if he starts so many games seems more sensible?
  21. Sorry, It probably is worth mentioning what you have, as plenty do not realise that the hearings regarding, funds, Venky’s are choosing to go to court, to try to get the impediments removed. ED are investigating them for a serious offense, the ultimate penalty, for which is jail. That is a totally different issue, yet some think they are the same thing.
  22. How will anyone sign new contracts? They haven't been offered them. The club hasn't even started to talk to them. We aren't even capable of sorting Batth and Weimann out, also Hedges. 2 years ago we missed out on Batth because we wouldn't give him a 2 year deal. He went to Norwich for a year, then came here on a 1 year deal, and now despite his efforts last year we are looking like losing him again because someone else is offering longer. Just totally ridiculous.
  23. You quoted my post as I hid it 😁 (decided wasn’t worth going over old ground). I’m hoping they’re found guilty and don’t pay the penalty. I hope that as if they don’t pay it a prison sentence comes into play.
  24. Plenty seem to be missing that point. They are accused of fraud, by the equivalent of HMRC in India and yes, it gives me hope, that it could spell serious trouble for them.
  25. I’m not getting excited, just reading a few things that give me some hope. Whether it’s unfounded or not, remains to be seen. Its fair to say that the owners have certainly been economical with the truth and possibly down right fraudulent, but whether they gets their just deserts or not, only time will tell.
  26. travis and sonny will be looking for 4/5 year deals at their age,if we continue to let them run their deal down it gives the impression we don`t value them, you can`t treat senior pro`s like this and expect them to risk injury and a possible six months out if it`s a bad one with no certainty of their future
