  1. Past hour
  2. He missed a few good chances before he scored, keep getting in the right position and you'll bag eventually.
  3. Oh my. Totally unexpected. What a great feeling, 2 in 2. Calls for something strong tonight but with a bit of quality. I'm taking about beer by the way before you start making lewd comments!
  4. With a bit less rain we could have had 9 points from last season’s PL teams.
  5. A hard working performance with two well-taken goals. A good effort from meagre ingredients, which is why it will be toad-in-the hole tonight,
  6. Brilliant win, just what was required. Delighted for Gudjohnsen. Toth superb. A bit of momentum can go a long way in this league, hopefully Rovers can string some more results together and pull away from trouble.
  7. Some of our movements were excellent, and how great to have accurate crosses from the wing hit a target man. We are still a little hesitant in front of goal, and although we have some very good passing ideas, we don’t seem to weightthe balls perfectly so that we can keep the game flowing Semantic points, what a great result and how good is it that our target man has hit three in two games. Confidence and momentum is a beautiful thing
  8. Gudjohnsen with a Jordan Rhodes style performance today.
  9. But for that to be the initial reaction after a terrific away win like that is still a weird take for me. Some people seem unable to focus on the positives. Shearer himself would have been happy with those two finishes today, especially the second goal.
  10. Really important win against a Leicester side seemingly in crisis, and one we won fairly comfortably in the end with a good overall performance. There are concerns in every area still really. Defensively, it still feels like every player is capable of mistakes. Wharton always makes a couple basically every game, McLoughlin is similar, Miller is similar. Theyll chuck their bodies on the line but will give the ball away sloppily or be turned and pulled apart at times. The clean sheet was really important today, incredible save by Toth who is certainly one of our most important players. Its not an issue just in midfield, more so an issue with technical ability across the team but we really struggle to keep the ball and make simple passes at time. And in the final third, too often the quality is lacking. The 2 strikers today were much better though, Ohashi was a pest and the 2 finishes by Gudjohnsen and parts of his general play were really impressive. I do think that the current formation does suit a few of our players but it begs the question, why did we not recruit for it properly? Seems to have been stumbled upon by accident. Alebiosu really is fantastic and suits being a wing back, De Neve (was decent today and surprised he was subbed) suits being a wing back, the defenders probably benefit from a third player and the 2 strikers have question marks as a lone striker but as a pair can pose more problems working together. We do need one or two defenders to come straight into the starting 111, we also have no cover and we have no cover up top too, Gueye isnt a serious option. Was against the idea last season and it would never happen but I wonder if giving a contract to Bamford would be a reasonable idea just to have another decent option.
  11. 0.57 is still a good chance, I hate that xG is the term because it actually means the chance quality
  12. Deserved win, although Leicester should have scored at least 1 despite being awful. How did Toth save that? Great day out for the fans, who were brilliant throughout. Leicester fans silent from 1st minute to the last. Credit to the manager for the half time changes, Hedges making a big difference in shoring up the threat from their Number 7 It’s going to be a happy journey home. Days like these you have to savour.
  13. Beautiful win! Does anyone have Andri’s address? I need to send an apology letter to him. COYB 🔵⚪️🌹 Tough ground for us next.
  14. It’s still a far piece to respectability. But, we’re making the journey, one game at a time.
  15. Gudjohnsen’s goals have got us 2 wins in a week but the mad thing is with Pears in goal we likely come away with a point at best
  16. I thought it would be a lot higher to be fair 🤷🏻‍♂️
  17. I get what he is saying, and I said it myself, he isn’t a great footballer but he looks a decent finisher and if that’s all he is then that’s absolutely fine if he wins us games
  18. Agree, he needs a support striker. He’s a goal poacher and needs someone to play off upfront
  19. No argument from me, we have played better and got nowt. Bug big win that and goid that ICE man scired again. He can finish with first time shots, all his goals have been snap shots yet he can't trap a ball.
  20. Finally someone who sees what I see! Poor lad was stranded in the previous formation and was given no chance to succeed. With the support of a second striker hes been a completely different player and will be a great player at this level and potentially beyond given time.
  21. i agree. But, as my sons tell me... a win's a win 😎
  22. It probably wasn’t far off. Then feck all else otherwise.
  23. Agree tbh, we gave the ball away a lot in the midfield
  24. A strong performance, that, leading to an unfamiliar feeling of winning fairly comfortably - and on Sky, too. Several things looking up, well played, Rovers.
