  1. Past hour
  2. Boring and poor display. Wharton got beat in an importan duel when they scored their first and then took full charge of the game. Tavares not interested in doing any dirty work, could've easily closed their player down for their second. We need to sign Tronstad to a new contract or he's gone in January.
  3. I'm not blaming Toth, I'm saying they'll sell him and replace him with the goalkeeping equivalent of Kargbo. Second goal is on Tavares. Bringing Tavares on was waving the white flag to Charlton.
  4. He was manager of the month, when we beat Watford away.
  5. Unfair on Toth, not much he could do with 2 of the goals, it could have been 5-0 if it hadn't been for Toth. The blame goes to Ismael, wrong formation, got it badly wrong.
  6. Some unfair comments on here today, blaming Toth for the defeat.
  7. Only explanation I can see would be that Wharton and Mcloughlin are both left footers... Not that I agree with it but it's the only semi logic
  8. We're transitioning to League 1. I dread to think what kind of players we are going to replace Tronstad, Toth and Wharton with in January/next season.
  9. That would have made sense, but we have a TERRIBLE MANAGER.
  10. Why did we not put on McLaughlin and put Miller at right back?
  11. Thought I'd never said it but seems we need Forshaw and where are Baradji?
  12. I mean, you've answered this question in your snarky response, did he or did he not stick him at full back as I said in my original post? Combined with the introduction of the awful Tavares it completely derailed any chances of us getting anything from the game.
  13. Hes got some talent but not anywhere up to the pace of the English game and seems to think he doesnt need to play the defensive side of the gane. Sort of player I could see improving over time and being useful next season once hes adjusted his mentality and fitness but in the trenches this year he's the opposite of what we need.
  14. Today
  15. I agree with one comment, Ismael got it badly wrong today, we were always going to be on the back foot.
  16. Back home, absolutely gutted that my partner's first experience of an away game was so utterly depressing. The fact that the tickets weren't there to collect until 2.20pm should have been the omen I suppose. Let's be clear, there were two major issues in this game and I think both bode badly in the long term. The first is the tactics. Charlton were direct and every time they had a set piece they looked to capitalise. Us? We tapped it from keeper to defence, passed sideways a bit like crabs and then either lost the ball, passed it back to Toth or hoofed it up to Yuki, who to be fair to him won it a few times only to have zero support. If we got a set piece, we either blasted it over or just passed it back to Toth and started again. This means we create nothing of note and also invite pressure - the subs and formation changes actually made us worse. The second is the lack of fight and passion. Toth, Wharton and Miller (and Alebiosu before he went off) put themselves about at least up until the first goal, but the rest of them? Not an ounce of effort. The worst offender by far was Tavares, who actually contributed negatively to the team. This team doesn't have the fight needed for a relegation battle, but that's exactly where we will be. We will pick up some results here or there as everyone does but we have no depth at all. Relegation inbound.
  17. Don't we need the Telegraph to help promote our historic 150th anniversary?
  18. Against Bradford. Yeah I would recommend against it. 2 of the goals if you watch Tavares you'll absolutely fume, not marking anyone just walking about.
  19. I'd a feeling we were going to lose this one, when I saw the team this morning.
  20. Worst start to a season since 2016.
  21. Thanks that’s helpful- helpful was an away game today feel sorry for Elliot - I’m one who thinks he is quite tame/ modest about his business and could be more ruthless but blimey maybe he’s been told so for months and this happens yes agreed- what an absolute waste of money from venkys why bother censorship is only about control and that feels like a dictatorship approach
  22. No doubt the Swansea bay news will be at Ewood Tuesday night, and there supporters are allocated 10,000 tickets, who the fucks running Blackburn Rovers. The Lancashire Telegraph banned, who have probably been reporting on Rovers matches since they were formed.
  23. Be amazed if Ismael keeps a lid on his thoughts now we have a few injuries in defence. The squad is paper thin and selling Hyam was suicide. Unless we keep the first 11 fit relegation is a possibility.
  24. Do we have a boardroom who will act if we look in danger? Do we have a manager capable of organising and rallying the troops? Do we have a team of ‘leaders’? It looks a clean sweep of “no’s” to me.
  25. Completely unconvinced by this guy.
  26. Just imagine the celebrations when Venkys/Pasha/Rudy finally fuck off. Be absolutely amazing
