  1. Past hour
  2. Hedges gave the ball away high up the pitch and then was completely out of position leading to one of the goals though.
  3. If Preston are a sleeping giant then We are world cup champions 🤣🤣
  4. For me I think it was more a criticism of Mr Aloof's logic. Hedges isn't very good in the air and is our best left sided wing back. It was a double whammy for me and whilst it didn't cost us the game it contributed to it in my opinion.
  5. That's harsh on Hedges. In fairness Hedges was not in the mix for the 2 goal header challenges in the Derby match. Miller and McLoughlin were outmanouvered by Morris for the first and Alebiosu was wrong side and not strong enough for the second.
  6. If you read what the Heritage Lottery funds, it's clear that they are there to preserve heritage wherever they may find it. Sadly, they have a limited amount of money and an avalanche of worthy applicants. At the seminar I attended they made it clear that they welcomed bids from any sporting club - amateur or professional.
  7. Weekend bump with (arugably) the highlight of the 1980s as Rovers lifted a trophy at Wembley. Where you there? Did you think that was as good as it was going to get? The first of four visits to Wembley in the following eight years.
  8. Yeah, he said something about Hedges height allowing us to win more aerial duels. And we conceded 2 headers.
  9. Did Ismael try to justify it by saying Hedges was an inch taller than the other two or am I completely imagining that? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere.
  10. Someone mentioned Pickering, but Ribeiro too? I can't think of any reason you'd play Hedges LCB with those two available.
  11. More likely to see Lord Lucan or Shergar...
  12. Today
  13. Wonder if the international man of mystery himself will make an appearance on the bench tonight?
  14. 'January ain't easy ya know' will be getting an airing soon, then it will be 'window doesn't close until the start of February so as long as we've got a few bodies in by then it's fine'. We needed defensive reinforcements yesterday, suicidal decision to sell Hyam on deadline day to the mighty Wrexham, potentially cost us Championship status there and then but hey, at least that money will help them meet their targets from the accountants back at HQ.
  15. Imo if the bus was going to all parts of the City that's one thing (even though Liverpool are more than capable of funding it themselves) but Im not sure why any professional Football Club should expect funding for an exhibition on Club premises.
  16. it might have helped slighty by not selling hyam at the last minute and actually paying danny batth a few more quid a week,a couple more injuries at the back and we`ll be sending scouts to blackburn combination games because we ar`nt going to be spending any money in january
  17. It's not looking good for Rovers, Carter back out injured, and Miller with jet lag, returning yesterday after playing for Australia. We desperately need recruitment at the back, in the Januarary transfer window,if we've to have a chance of staying in the Championship.
  18. With Carter and Wharton both out long term now, we definitely need a couple of new CB's at least, and a recall for O'Riordan on top of that to ensure we have enough cover for playing 3 CB's.
  19. They've said that in the LT, every game, 1 win in 6 at home, speaks for itself.
  20. If memory serves me, it was for a portable Liverpool FC memory bus with various memorabilia inside.
  21. having been bouncing around the middle divisions since tom finney went back to plumbing, every time pne start the season well their fans starts chirping about them being a "sleeping giant!!!!" and as everyone one of their lancashire rivals have been moderately succesful (even blackpool made it into the premier league) they are also extremely bitter🙂
  22. Seems they might have provided funding to the Liverpool Foundation rather than the Club.
  23. The exhibition at the Museum was a Blackburn Museum event. The club did loan them a number of items which was acknowledged by the Museum at the time. The Museum plan events well in advance and the Rovers exhibition was always due to end when it did as the Museum had another event which directly followed it.
