I'd love jdt back. I enjoyed his football. He was honest. There's no way he'll come back

He left us for a club in the relegation zone whilst we were in the playoffs. Modest investment and contracts for players who deserved contracts is all that was required. I'm confident that we would be in promotion contention again if he had stuck around. His decision has been completely vindicated though and good luck to him. He saw that joining a team with a bit of ambition was far better than sticking around at a club who are doing well but lack any leadership or credibility.

As much as I'd want a JDT return, there is no way his style of football works with the players we have now. It would be a disastrous appointment right now.

That was when the teams came out. Proof yet again that when you peel the lid back they are no different to us or anyone else around here.

If JDT was willing to even contemplate a return they should crawl over on their hands and knees, admit they got it wrong and beg him to return on the promise of appointing a decent DOF of his choosing and a workable transfer and wage budget

If I didn't know better I'd say they were prepping the ground work for an extended Johnson spell in charge. That's the cheap and easy option which is what this lot are all about. Some might be fine with that due to ex-player syndrome but I don't think we can be so flippant with our Championship status and that applies regardless of tomorrow's result in a must-win game. Nixon mentioned something on Radio Lancashire after his ridiculous Souness suggestion about Lee Bowyer - I think he knows something there or has heard something. That's exactly the sort of name we'd be speaking to and he knows it.

JDT is not coming back after the way he left the club and Sparky would be an awful appointment. Sparky has been a failure at every job he’s had after Rovers and there’s a reason he’s currently managing in the national league!

I can’t believe we’ve stockpiled so many below average players that for the second year in a row we have to leave senior players out of the 25 man squad but are still left with a poor 25 man squad.

My worry is that yes it’s great we no longer have Ismail in charge but we still have the same bunch of players who seemingly can’t shoot…..it’s the hope that will kill you 🤣

When you’re getting turned down by David Wagner, you know you’re in a fair bit of trouble. As for JDT, how many pints has Nixon had tonight?!

One day maybe we will find out just how an ex player with no background in management or even coaching managed to waltz his way into running a Championship football club. Something very dodgy going on or perhaps just chief Venky stooge not knowing his arse from his elbow and getting drawn into it thinking he could run the snow through his puppet. Either way a total disgrace and within less than a year he's taken us through soon to be three managers, a chief executive, countless background staff and players, and soon to be a relegation. But mates with chief stooge so hey, he's safe. Perhaps when someone gets around to sifting through the wreckage of this season he will be held responsible and removed. Then again maybe not under these disgusting people.
