  1. Past hour
  2. I should think there would be great guffaws as we see the reality behind the keyboard warriorship! There's an interim stage we could adopt, which would be a virtual meet, using Zoom, Teams or similar, although I'd wager not many would attend as themselves and there'd be a lot of avatars in the room! I'm going to get an 'Old Codger' badge made, and wear it in the Moorgate before games next season a few times, to see if I can smoke out some of you other curmudgeonly keyboard combatants 🙂 Let's just say, my 'residual self image' (how I think I look to others in reality or in a virtual sense) is definitely well at odds with the physical reality of who and what I actually am 😉
  3. Seems that the passion we have for the club overspills sometimes and weve been driven to bloody madness. Anyone fancy a pint in the locale one night on a random whim easier to chew the fat and put the world to rights? Should do meet ups would be a laugh
  4. Incredible after all the effort that you put into doing that, how disrespectful that is.
  5. Yesterday
  6. I've also put a boot in, but on ignore so got nothing back 😂
  7. Yer mum has had more dongs than a church bell.
  8. It's tasty on here tonight there's about 3 separate rows going on at the same time, i'm feeling left out 🤣
  9. My opinion is his critics haven’t got a clue yes, but equally your opinion is valid too and I’m talking bobbins. Thats how this messageboard stuff works.
  10. He has said it, multiple times, when specifically being asked about contract negotiations, not random interviews. If you don't think the 2 correlate so be it.
  11. If you think Dolan's going upwards from here career wise you'll be in for a shock. He's trying to get a move to a team, any team, that otherwise wouldn't typically pay a transfer fee to sign him. Either way I don't think he will have much of an impact wherever he goes, yes we could end up missing him since we relied far too heavily on him, I'll say it again... due to a lack of investment in his position to give him any sort of decent competition... Other teams probably wouldn't miss him as much since they'd spend a million or two on a replacement. He definitely won't get as many minutes as he did with us as close to the Championship top 6 again. If he somehow manages to fluke a prem move off the back of some decent Sky performances and OTT punditry with us, I can guarantee you he won't feature.
  12. Ya know, if you two blocked each other instead of having the same arguments (about many things), the amount of posts on this forum would probably drop by about 20%. Just saying.
  13. Find me a player who doesn't want to play at the highest level. I'd be far more disappointed if he didn't have that ambition. He has never once said he should be playing in the Premiership now.
  14. @Tyrone Shoelaces Many of us on here love hearing the stories of Rovers games gone by, your knowledge is like an encyclopaedia, superb stuff. I know you're a big Rugby League fan, but were you a massive cricket fan too? Domestically or International? Did you see Boycott block up one end for 3 days and send the rest of the team to picture? Did you see Underwood spin the Aussies out in the ashes? Any stories would we most welcome 👍
  15. Haven't got a clue because people have different opinions? He was ineffective in many games last season, downright wasteful and frustrating in others. He did however turn in some good appearances, the best ones though came towards the end of the season, putting himself in the shop window at all? Nobody knows what he's been offered, but one way or another the valuations don't meet.
  16. Lets be honest, Dolans critics on here haven't got a clue and certainly can't see any bigger picture. If you go to Ewood week in week out and are happy to see Dolan leave, your seat must be behind a pillar in The Riverside. RoverInverness calls it spot on, why would we want to lose a player like Dolan? Bonkers.
  17. One of the great attributes of being a footballerer.
  18. I’ll stick my neck out - He’s a hard working lad, he’s a good attitude and he flatters to deceive (i.e, he sometimes looks a bit better than he really is). He also has shown steady improvement year on year. If he keeps that up someone may take a punt on him as a squad player in a team towards the bottom end of the Premier League for a season or two when he hits his peak. He’s still only 23, he could have another several years improving. I’m not saying he’s ready for that level now. He needs to score more goals and continue to up his assists, just for starters. His decision making can also be lacking, that’s probably his biggest hurdle to overcome. However, I’ll stand by the fact he’s a good kid with some talent, lots of effort, plenty determination and he clearly listens to his coaches - it can take a player a long way. He may surprise some of his critics on here.
  19. That’s brave of you sorting that ‘disruption’ out from NZ. You’re an inspiration. Thanks for your efforts🤣
  20. I have never once said that I dont favour youth players coming through. You suggested that we can rely on Montgomery though. I dont get how you can possibly have come to that conclusion yet.
  21. You'll not be far from NZ pretty soon with how deep that hole your digging is getting. I never suggested invading the pitch, I said the games needed to be disrupted. Still not getting any better with that English comprehension there are we.
  22. No worries. Don’t forget to let everyone know when they can next invade the pitch at Ewood.🤣 You can watch it on TV from New Zealand whilst updating your timeline.
  23. It would appear that the Venkys and the Directorate of Endorcement have done a deal where the DE will issue the no objection certificate so long as the Venkys meet all the conditions previously imposed by the court. Whether this deal (assuming it exists - I’m basing this on the certificate which was issued March ‘24 without a court case) includes the DE okaying funds being sent for transfers is anyone’s guess (although I believe most would think not). If it does, then yes, this would include Venkys having to give the £2.5 million (in your example) to the ED by way of a guarantee.
