  2. When exactly does the transfer window close ?
  3. Pay our price Derby or feck off, your annoying now.
  4. It’s only my grandson that keeps me interested. I now think the Chicken Chokers will outlast me unfortunately but I’m pretty sure they won’t outlast him as he’s only 18. I desperately want to keep the love of Blackburn Rovers in my family. His dad only maintains a watching brief via the TV nowadays. I am away on holiday. This was our text conversation after last nights game - Grandson - “ That’ll teach me for going to midweek cup games “. Me - “ Yeah, anybody play well ? “ Grandson - “ Tavares my MOM, Cantwell didn’t have a good game but you can still tell he’s a step above the rest “ “ Let’s hope Toth doesn’t get injured cos that Michalski is awful “. “ Travis off to Derby as well “. Me - “ Mm, Birmingham up next. “ Grandson - “ Ticket already bought “. Me - “ Good on you Luke, it won’t always be like this ! “ He’s a great kid, off to Uni this year and one of the reasons for the Uni he chose was so he could get over to watch Rovers.
  5. The min Travis was brought back by Eustace and proved his worth to Rovers again is the min he should have had good terms slapped in front of him. Iv'e heard that a big reason for Eustace's displeasure behind the scenes from pretty early on is because he wanted contracts for his core players and prospects to be discussed but was outright blanked. In other words he went into bat for his players because they were doing it for him on the pitch, Mowbray and Venus always did similar that's why they loved him. Players never forget that kind of thing nor do they forget being snubbed in the vain hope they might accept something else offered further down the line. It's a Suhail, Waggot, Venky tactic that has failed time and time again..... or has it, from their point of view ..
  6. I agree with this. Would not sell for £1.5m. Rather let him go for free.
  7. Think both were bad against WBA, but latter end of season Tronstad was best
  8. I can see him being a real problem but his shoot on sight is very erratic, they need to nullify his supply line but there's be no Travis to protect the back 4 now 🤨
  9. Probably similar in some ways to when you had dodgy Chinese owners. Things being run down to the ground, no ideas or ambition and the feeling relegation is inevitable.
  10. I'd say our best performers last season in no particular order were Travis, Brittain, Dolan and Batth. Guess what! 3 of them are no longer here and one appears to be on his way out. There's a reason for that other Clubs aren't daft and have noticed the way they played last year and are willing to pay for them and our management simply don't care as they are only interested in cutting costs.
  11. Rover is believed to be interested in linking up with his old manager, John Eustace. But did it mention Rover felt his working conditions had got worse, that the club had asked him to work for nothing and that Pasha/Gestede refused to pay his bus fare home?
  12. Yep. He's already done one nonsensical puff piece to placate the fan base where he suggests progress has been made on the RW position but then quotes VI as saying "It's difficult to say anything is close" which actually suggests the exact opposite! Never mind Rover the dog, I wish Eustace would come in for Jackson as well.
  13. I thought he was deeply average in the Euros to be honest. Along with several other highly touted names, McAtee, Hackney, Scott etc. I was expecting much more. He lacks the real pace to trouble the better teams. That doesn’t mean to say he won’t trouble us.
  14. Come on he isn't a Rovers fan or Blackburn lad there aren't many Barry Bannons around in reality' He sees the writing on the wall and there is nothing he can do about it after seeing everyone half decent sold or be allowed to leave. He's a late 20's Championship footballer on a modest - by Championship standards - basic wage so he wants security for his future it's perfectly normal. Add in he wants to link up with a gaffer who will use his strengths, a club with an upward ambition and he'll get a contract of 3 or 4 years worth several million in total. This isn't on him it's an the club just like two thirds of the rest we've now lost.
  15. Any update @glen9mullan need these snakes out quicker than ever
  16. There is a bit of revisionism going on, as is expected and somewhat understandable. Travis is limited for sure, but has been a solid enough captain, though arguably putting in some of his worst performances in our biggest games. What I would say is that for a team gearing up for a relegation battle he’s an important player. Unfortunately that is what we will be this season and therefore his qualities are going to be missed greatly. Were we a well run club pushing towards the top end then I don’t think many would be too fussed as with clubs like that he would be replaced by better. Here, however, he won’t be replaced, the money will disappear and the gap will be plugged by inexperience. The malaise around the club is awful, truly awful, and only going to get worse. Does anyone even enjoy going to watch them anymore??
  17. I think with adage of new players it would seem like youngsters my eyes were darting about trying to figure out who was who! Yea but you are right ✋️✋️
  18. 100%. Whilst JDT was constantly calling out the powers that be, you felt there was some hope despite the ownership. Eustace was slightly more professional as it were in the sense that he didn't make his dissatisfaction so public. But you could tell he wasn't happy, Towards the end you could hear the optimism draining out of him with every interview. This guy gives the impression all is well and he's 100 % on board. That may change of course but I doubt it.
  19. Don’t think Iv seen anybody say he’s the worst player to play for rovers tbh there is an under appreciation of him no doubt
  20. Never takes long with our fickle lot to rewrite the narratives.
  21. Was always going to happen at some point that saturation point was reached. You can't have at this level an academy just churning out players for multiple positions year after year no matter how it's rated or how much it costs. I posted a few years ago there was a danger these idiots would suddenly think or be sold the notion the academy can solve half the problems every season but it seems they are in that mode hook line and sinker. They didn't like the advice against it from experienced people and coaches so one by one they've cut them away and now have a novice puppet running it and his yes man pal in the dugout. I think the recruitment staff are doing their best and have brought in a few who have obvious development potential but trying to blend them with untested kids and getting rid of all the experience and GOALS all at once is mindnumbingly crazy, pure amateur stuff.
  22. Now Travis wants away he’s all of a sudden the worst player to play for Rovers and he’s worse than Tavares now apparently. And JDT is apparently right about him now. These people are so boring.
