  1. Past hour
  2. Just got home from work, what a nice surprise! Excellent feel to it. I'm an XL and fits perfectly, nice and loose unlike the official shirts which stick to my gut 😆 Thanks for sorting @Herbie6590
  3. Carter’s starting to make Vince Grella look healthy in comparison. Shame for him and the club but his body clearly isn’t cut out for professional football.
  4. Very much my fear too..gone awfully quiet.
  5. I’ll never forget that 3-2 game in 2004. Was over for my 30th. Had a real good time in the pub before the game and it was indeed a game to remember for all the wrong reasons. Heartwrenching when that 3-2 went in. Great away support on the day as well! So the day and time of reckoning has come at last! Please please please beat this lot 3-2 with the final goal in injury time. Make their keeper come up to score an equalizer then squash their hopes with a silky finish. COYB!
  6. Carter out again and proving how daft it was to let Hyam go without another body in
  7. More feedback on the 50’s shirts…🙏
  8. Quality is superb, I’ll get a photo over the weekend but a real premium feel to it right down to the buttons
  9. Today
  10. Delighted to hear…photos in the wild at Ewood always welcomed 😁
  11. Saying it's a fair outcome because of the pitch and drainage makes no sense. It plays no factor in the decision. If we had been down to 10 and Ipswich had been 1 up, then the outcome would have been the same. Full replay. And if it wasn't the same (and we'll never know), then the EFL is corrupt. Our pitch and drainage meets the regulations of the league, so it doesn't matter. If the EFL wants to use the standard of the pitch as a whole as a factor, then they have to change the pitch regulations and force our owners to spend money on it.
  12. From 1-0 up Saturday, to possibly being in the bottom 3 Saturday night.
  13. The efl were probably waiting for the biggest backhander.
  14. To be hoped the EFL don't take a look at Test and County Cricket Board where clubs have points deducted for sub standard pitches.
  15. Id be furious if we were playing at Ipswich 1-0 up with an extra man, and this situation occured, and it would have been incredibly unfair. But as its our own lack of drainage is fundamentally the issue i can't complain too much. Whats very weird about it is the root cause (Ewood parks lack of drainage) has no reference in the guidelines. If they are redrawing the guidelines i can easily see that in future instead of a replay the home side may forfeit all the points if they cant provide a fit playing surface. That would seem the logical thing to do. Every other game in Yorkshire and the Northwest managed to complete despite similar levels of rain.
  16. No doubt, Ipswich are allocated 10,000 tickets for the replay, and ride away on their tractors with the 3pts. El happy Ipswich happy, and fuck rovers will be their message.
  17. Hope so. I can’t help worrying that attempts are being made to silence them…
  18. Shirt's just arrived, quality is excellent, very pleased! 🤩. Will be perfect for those colder days at Ewood or down the pub. Could probably have got away with a large, but better to have it on the bigger side than too tight with my 'Dad Bod' Thanks to all involved. Edit: Forgot to add, nice touch with the photos sent with it. 🫡
  19. I just wonder wghy it took so long to come up with a decision in the first place ?
  20. I think Ismael speaks so well about the whole situation here.
  21. This is a by product of the absurd way football is run in this country. The decision to replay the match was taken exclusively by the EFL. The Premier League also have autonomy when it comes to disciplinary action against clubs under their control. Any disciplinary sanctions such as red and yellow cards or manager misconduct are reported directly to the FA and they manage that side of the game for both the EFL and Premier League.
  22. Couldn't be put better IMO, even though the outcome is as I expected.
  23. The Bugle Horn, at the top of the hill behind the ground, was good the last time I went to Charlton.
  24. I’ve played on some really bad pitches. One in particular was a pitch where there were pools of water ( ie large puddles ) but given the un-evenness of the pitch other areas of the pitch were dry and quite playable. However I’ve never played on a pitch like the one at Ewood last Saturday. By the time the game was called off there was standing water all over pitch and there was no way the ball would run along the ground or bounce when dropped. I saw one of the blokes with a pitchfork sweeping large amounts of water away with his boot. You might have been ok playing rugby on it but playing football was impossible.
  25. I we are losing the replay at half time, what is to stop us banging the sprinklers on full blast and getting the game cancelled again. What is the betting it would not be going to a second replay 🙂
