How can we expect future generations to throw their support behind a football club that will never be promoted back to the Premier League, will be happy to stay in the Championship forever, will always sell its best players for what they can get, never reinvest transfer fees into buying new players and will rarely conduct new contract terms at a propitious time thus losing good players for nothing and will never sell the Club (apparently) Some moan about small crowds, its a miracle we get as many as we do in these circumstances. They'e going to get smaller I think.

I've been saying for a while that we are no longer a football Club (where the idea is to win football matches) but a place where certain people (mainly management and agents) go to earn (a lot of) money. Edit: Ironically the only way to become truly "sustainable" is to invest a bit, try to win a few football matches and get into the Premier League.

You know Carl it's the first day of the season tomorrow and tens of thousands of supporters will go to games full of optimism and excitement. For Rovers fans seeing the owners representative coming out with that really takes the wind out of our sails knowing that there is no ambition, no desire to get promoted or be successful.
