  1. Past hour
  2. Think Morgan Whittaker has since surpassed him as top earner, somewhere between 25-30Kweek
  3. Not at all what I imagined him to look like. It looks like he's spent too long north of the border on the Iron Bru 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (I say that as β…” Scottish myself).
  4. it`s nailed on imo, carter would have been next on the list if he had`nt been injured
  5. Also according to some basic online stats which may be well off, Darragh Lenihan is Boro’s top earner on 20k+. I doubt any of our players are on that, let alone a wage structure with those sort of figures built in for parity. It will always come down to turnover unless we’ve a owner who wants to invest, funnily enough, like Boro. Miller could be a solid investment though and I’m looking forward to a long throw as a weapon!
  6. 3-1 WBA. Threadbare squad, lacking badly in quality, and no time for any of the new signings to 'bed in' over pre-season, except De Neve, who isn't very good.
  7. Smart man and obviously not desperate. Trav next.
  8. I think you're spot on. Also, you may remember me telling posters, just after Eustace left, to keep an eye out for a pattern that has been showing itself over the last 15 years. Re: Six clubs in particular. I said Karanka would be next in based off of that pattern. It didn't happen, but a hack had him down as the leading candidate for a time, which says plenty IMO. Looking at this summer...whatever it is, be it a small world, fishing in the same pool etc, the pattern is there again.
  9. It is simple economics, what I find most annoying is why we are not told the truth, I am sure it would be more acceptable to people if we were.
  10. Agreed... My best guess at the moment is Brittain, Dolan, Travisz Tronstad etc are looking for Β£10k+ plus and its a hard no, while McCloughlin, Millar etc come in for 6k to 9k. I am completely speculating but it does seem weird we are letting players go for free over say 5k a week which is 0.5M over two years, but if we could sell them at a time of our choosing they would be worth millions to us?
  11. I saw it. It seemed like a real blow to the morale of the players and the fans. The collapse was cataclysmic. The next 7 games included these defeats....0-3, 0-3, 0-4, 1-4, 1-3, 0-4... And remember Rovers were 2nd in the table before these results....
  12. Return Flight Tickets once he fails his medical / Pasha loses the paperwork
  13. I suspect all those who left would have wanted considerably more than the contracts we have given to the new signings.
  14. To me it’s obvious, better proven players in the league command far higher salaries than those coming into the division or even country (unless they’re coming from a top level!). As frustrating as i imagine we both find it, the prerogative is keeping the wage bill low. Β£1m and Β£10k a week over 3 years is cheaper than a Β£20k a week 3 year deal.
  15. i find it bewildering that they can pay a transfer fee and give miller a 3 year contract ,yet they can`t seem to find any money to keep brittain, travis.dolan or batth
  16. You've been keeping hold of this since Miller was linked, haven't you. Well played.
  17. @SIMON GARNERS 194think they're saying two incoming and Brittain leaving. Also said discussions are ongoing with Baradji and Yverdon
  18. I get the sarcasm in your post, but guess many won’t.
  19. the let going on about 3 players close to signing, miller, henrikson and who else,im`e not paying for their crappy articles but curious to know who the 3ed player is
  20. When you look at the despicable way the club has conducted itself in recent transfer windows (McGuire, O'Brien) together with the outrageous departures mid-season of JDT and Eustace, together with the complete and utter inertia on new contracts for key players, joining those few dots together tells me that this is not a club that any self-respecting individual would want to stay at. We are basically a vessel for younger/foreign players who need a route into English football / staff who can't get work elsewhere to come in and use us for a season or two before they move on to the bright lights of places like Derby and Middlesbrough. I expect that this club's reputation and name is in the gutter when it comes to doing deals with other clubs/players after the conduct we have witnessed in recent years. They don't care about that though.
