HemelRover Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Which stand? Whereabouts? Did anyone else hear anything - I certainly didnt from the back right corner of the BBE. i was sat in seat 94, row 2 of the Blackburn End. right in the centre of the stand behind the goal.

HemelRover Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Yet still no info on whereabouts this happened...... Funny that isnt it Sorry, just got back from work. was definatly coming from the NO3 section of the BBE.
Eddie Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 As i have neither called anybody a nazi or mentioned "burning him with the jews" or anything of the sort i don`t see quite why you are mentioning it to me as i also find it disgusting. If you call a burnley fan a b*stard, whilst you are likely to get a negative reaction off the majority, you may also find some that may be upset as well and therefore may recall said experience as being a painful episode (hypothetically of course depending on individual persons character !),so in effect there isn`t any difference at all. No, my point was a past history of it, touching on a sensitive subject and the like. Unless you actually think that a few people from Burnley have recently evolved from monkeys I hardly think it is going to seriously hurt their feelings. As for why I mentioned those particular chants, that is because that is what was supposed to have been heard at the game on Sunday. This really isn't the proper place for a discussion of this sort to be taking place, so probably best just to end it and it it needs to be discussed to start a new thread (although similar topics have been created in the past).
Sandiway Blue Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 As Otto says: "I think we're far too sensitive personally" Otto,if i have offended you in any way i would like to apologise as it was not my intention to. I went to Germany (moselle valley)around 14 years ago and have great memories of Germany as it was my then girlfriend (now wife) and i`s first holiday together. Welcome to BRFCS

Rover 'til I die Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 BTW Nicko, just wanted to thank you on your brilliant piece in yesterday's Mirror Mania on the game and Arsenal in general. I shoved that in a lot of gonner's faces....

American Rover12 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 mozz I bet a pound to a penny that he is fit for the Rovers game !! always seems to turn out that way, doesn't it?
nicko Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Johnson and England is a strange one. He seems to get injured when they want him. Very odd. I did hear that Leighton Baines played in a special closed-door game today, so I think he will appear on Saturday at left back. Or at least he is available.
Paul Mellelieu Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Eddie, Accept the lads doing the hilarious anti-German stuff are a bit thick and it makes life a lot easier. Anyway, come on Germany!

As we are in a political correctness controlled environment surely the term is mentally challenged? tut-tut shame on you !
modes98 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Sorry, just got back from work. was definatly coming from the NO3 section of the BBE. I'm Row 20 in NO3 and i didn't hear it, but if they were at the front then i probably wouldn't have.

RovertheHill Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Frankly with all the potential material available at Lehmann's expense, taking the p*ss out of him for being German shows a distinct lack of wit and imagination

Oakland Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Hi nicko! Do you have any info about this one? Reading - BRFC 1-0 (Behind closed doors friendly) Who played etc??...
Rover 'til I die Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 The LET are disputing your report yesterday Nicko..... http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport...id_made_yet.php
nicko Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Hi nicko! Do you have any info about this one? Reading - BRFC 1-0 (Behind closed doors friendly) Who played etc??... Because of the pathetic shape of the Premier Reserve League Rovers are having to play friendlies all over the place. It is a nonsense, official fixtures don't start until September. What use is that? Why have pre-season training? I get peeved about this because a couple of manager mates have wanted to see your ressies play for possible loan signings. But nobody even knows where and when games are...it's hopeless.
nicko Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 The LET are disputing your report yesterday Nicko..... http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport...id_made_yet.php I have just had to ask for one of mrs nicko's clothes pegs to attach to my nose. I have to avoid the smell of sour grapes somehow.
ffan Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I have just had to ask for one of mrs nicko's clothes pegs to attach to my nose. I have to avoid the smell of sour grapes somehow. benayoun apparently wants out, could do a job at blackburn?
thenodrog Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/g...ers/default.stm Has nobody looked lower down that link to see the standard of reporting we are dealing with? "Blackburn striker Aaron Mokoena would love to play for Celtic or Rangers. (The Times)" The Axe .... a Striker!
Sparky Marky Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 benayoun apparently wants out, could do a job at blackburn? Not a bad call that one.....
pleasure Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 nicko, some info on city's next signing.... alvaro recoba, on loan. i'm told the deal will be finalised by the end of this week. all quiet on the rovers front, at the time of writing. on the abuse directed towards "our friend jens"...... didnt the moronic drumming drown it out!
they_think_its_all_rover Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Has nobody looked lower down that link to see the standard of reporting we are dealing with? "Blackburn striker Aaron Mokoena would love to play for Celtic or Rangers. (The Times)" The Axe .... a Striker! I saw the full interview online somewhere, before The Times did that... All he said was he's really happy at Blackburn and feels he's starting to have a good impact on English football and loves the physical nature of the Prem, but said he's seen how physical old firm derbies can get and would love to play for either team when he's further on in his career. (sounded nothing like he wanted a move anytime within the next few seasons) Yet most stories about it start with; Blackburn Rovers defender Aaron Mokoena has made a 'come and get me' plea to Rangers and Celtic.Plus, look at this further down; American businessman Dan Williams is in talks with the Blackburn board about a potential £20m takeover. (The Independent) £25 million cheaper than what Nicko reported... its so obvious some papers dont actualy do any research on Rovers and just join the dots...
