We're been pretty desperate in finding a natural left-back, perhaps Callum could do the job :)

In a parallel universe, Roy Hodgson is probably still manager, and we have signed these 3 to bulk up our defence today. We have signed them from Burnley reserves for a combined fee of £45m. Bookies have lengthened our odds of promotion to the Premiership to 60/1.

Not much on today in terms of happening deals today, more just talk and possibilities. Does no-one realise the deadline is coming?

Middlesbrough desperate for a striker. Been talking to Inter about Adriano, not keen to pay full £9m for Alves at Heerenveen and may yet sign Samaras from Man City.

Portsmouth been knocked back with move for Anelka. Thought they were dreaming anyway.

Birmingham choosing between Luccin [Atletico Madrid] and M'Bami [Marseille] for new midfielder.

Campo will leave Bolton - possibly to Sheff U.

And I don't think Lescott was best pleased to be dropped by Everton on Saturday.

Highly doubtful. I think that's nicko trying to stir the pot ;)

But I was puzzled as well to see Lescott left off the starting line up. Not a coincidence that the Everton with lescott looked a lot better in the back than when Stubbs was back there.

Portsmouth are in for another striker - after being snubbed by Bolton for Anelka. Same price...and don't worry it's not one of yours.

And Lescott is unhappy with being left out. No more than that. But the dummy did come out of the pram.

Adriano to Boro? Surely not...

As for Lescott he'd be a qaulity signing if he were to leave Everton (doubt it mind).

Credit where it's due, I thought it was a top performance from about 15 to 45 minutes. You don't see Everton being outrun and outplayed on their own patch.

Funny, an Everton pal of mine thought it was too pro-Rovers. You just can't keep all your readers happy. :lol:

Just wondering why you gave Pedersen man-of-the-match, he didn't really do much and has recieved virtally no votes in the Everton topic.

Same here. I rate he and Yobo almost as highly as our own first choice centre-half pair.

any thoughts on the suggestion that Rovers and Bolton are snifing around Celtic for Jarosik who has asked to leave Celtic Park??

Its has been mentioned on a celtic fans forum that Rovers are his preferred option before Bolton.

High quality player who is pure Hughes material to turn into a top performer. Problem is it is hard to see how he fits in our system as he is such an attacking minded central midfielder. He has doen well

up front as a support stiker when I have seen him too but then we have strikers coming out of our ears.

Could see us signing him though as he is versatility and quality would improve our bench if not our first team.
