Tim Southampton Rover Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Great run by Torres for the first goal.
rebelmswar Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Great run by Torres for the first goal. Crap defending from Cole for the second.
DeadlyDirk Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Crap defending from Cole for the second. Always happy to see Cashley at fault.
Amo Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Didn't Fergie start Smith up-front for Man Utd a few years back and he seemed to be finding his feet before an injury, then he tried playing him in midfield and every other manager decided they should follow suit?
budha Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Bolton have haid their bids/enquiries for Mendes and Davis rebuffed. Being priced out from the Veloso deal means they're in a little bit of hurry for replacing Nolan..
ffan Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Apparently 5 Live has just reported that Portsmouth have accepted a bid for Sean Davis from a so far unnamed Premiership club. Could be Rovers?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 It'll be the Donkey Humpers, Notlob.
budha Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Ben Haim and Gekas have joined Sunderland and Pompey respectively on loan until end of season.
Bobby G Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Gekas is a good signing. Top scorer in German league a couple of years ago.
Grabbi Graeme Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 SSN saying that according to their sources Spurs in talks with Liverpool about re signing Robbie Keane
alexanders Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Apparently 5 Live has just reported that Portsmouth have accepted a bid for Sean Davis from a so far unnamed Premiership club. Could be Rovers? I guess Bolton..
Amo Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Sean Davis only signed a new deal recently. Interesting to see Adams letting him go.
1864roverite Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Bolton bid rejected out of hand by Pompy.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Anyone been watching Barcelona this season? My god what a team. Messi is by far the best player in the world at the moment, an absolute genius.
Hughesy Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 They win again? Agreed Messi on fire this season.
DeadlyDirk Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 He's absolute class, Messi is a genius, we should put in a sneeky bid Would love to see him in the premiership, don't think anyone could afford him and all the money in the world wouldn't persuade him to move to Citeh
American Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 No one has bid for him yet - we have a chance.
LeChuck Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 "Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has moved to distance himself from reports that he is interested in signing Fabian Delph from Leeds. "We're not looking for 19-year-olds like Delph who may be good some time in the future," said the Fulham boss." Nowt like planning for the future, eh Woy?
rog of the rovers Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Delph could make the Fulham team aged 19 never mind one for the future, he'd cost too much though. As for Spurs, what the hell? A club so poorly run, with such loose morals, how do they actually attract supporters when Arsenal is around the corner. Chimbonda, didnt he storm off in last years Carling Cup final? Defoe and Keane, wasn't it proved over many seasons that they couldn't play together? Palacios/Defoe, they should be punished for breaking the rules.

Yes, much better to sign some who was good in the past. Like Dacourt.

If you can't have someone in FA high places like West Ham then the second best is to be the club the media support.
rog of the rovers Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Willo Flood, Celtic's new signing, is it me or does he look incredibly ill?
rover6 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Steve Bruce is redeeming himself with every day that goes by, it would seem. N'Zogbia is a sensational signing. The guy deserves credit for simply getting out of Newcastle with some kind of talent intact. Many a promising youngster has had his potential thrashed into a smithereens by the Toon Circus. N'Zogbia has the skill and pace to be as good a left winger as there is in the Premier League. Wigan fans should be excited. (Although, one good season and he will be off faster than roadrunner). As for Ryan Taylor - welcome to the dark ages and just ask Darren Ambrose where you can expect to find yourself a few years down the line.
