nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Defoe going to Pompy if ssn are to be beleived a fee is agreed You would have read that in the Mirror this morning... Which you might be buying all next season if things work out. I never forget a promise...
EwoodGlory Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 who gives a flying cocks ar#e who burnley have sold/bought ? Me, I honestly think it will be good if they come up, the derby games and local competition will bring more people through the gates which we need. I'm not scared of them doing better than us, I would think we would get 6 easy points off them. Whats wrong with them coming up for a year and going back down Plus I have £20 on them getting promoted at 20/1 which were very good odds

modes98 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Mark Randall. Arsenal. Midfield. Top drawer. Loan for the rest of the season. Last seen in boys club team that beat you 3-2 in Carling Cup. He wasn't very good though. As to be fair most of them weren't from the end of the first half onwards. They were saved by one or 2 senior players and were shown up against spurs. He's one for the future, just not good enough now but in the lower leagues he might do well.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 So who are Spurs going to get to replace him? Ah well this is all so exciting...but yet doesn't involve Rovers at all. Why are some people convinced we're going to get Koumas? That costs money-something our board appear unwilling to spend. Admittedly I don't want to see us getting mugged off in terms of price, but we're still blatantly short of bodies in midfield.
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Oh how Nicko is loving the baiting of everyone on here, and yet people continue to pose questions and get upset with his replies. Hint, don't mention Burnley, then Nicko doesn't mention Burnley, its not hard to fathom. Not baiting. I said they would sign a few - they didn't manage at first and I got some flak. No worries. Now the second good addition has landed. End of. I would be delighted to tell you the Rovers news. You have had most - if not all - of the trialists who came and went and the ones you thought about and then thought better of. It would be great to break a goodie for you today and tell you what's happening. But there isn't anything. If Portsmouth have the bottle to sell their top scorer and buy Jermain Defoe I think they deserve a top-four finish and maybe even a top-six one.
Torgeir Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Never used 'us.' Just pulling your leg We should snatch the Argie just to annoy this other club pronto.
1864roverite Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Alan my bet is safe, I have seen burnley play !!

Id rather let a Youngster from the Acedamy like Hodge have a pop etc. P.S Bentley in England Sqaud. :rover:
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Just pulling your leg We should snatch the Argie just to annoy this other club pronto. Nobody can snatch the Argie...the reasons why to be revealed on Sunday. Is that advertising?
revolutionrock! Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Nobody can snatch the Argie...the reasons why to be revealed on Sunday. Is that advertising? Its going in a paper? Come on, who gives a flying ###### about that. Unless it turns out he is a Female? Now that would be a good story.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I really hope Man City know what they are doing by signing Benjani to solve their goalscoring problems. He is having a very lucky season. The last few he's been an awful person to rely on to score goals. Pompey *spit* on the other hand will be letting go an average player and bringing in a top goalscorer for the next 5 years or so.

Neil Weaver Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Mark Randall. Arsenal. Midfield. Top drawer. Loan for the rest of the season. Last seen in boys club team that beat you 3-2 in Carling Cup. And a right cynical git if I remember. I'm sure the natives will approve.
PAFELL Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Not baiting. I said they would sign a few - they didn't manage at first and I got some flak. No worries. Does take courage to sell your top scorer - this could be a smart move on their part IMO
Torgeir Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Nobody can snatch the Argie...the reasons why to be revealed on Sunday. Is that advertising? No, just secretive...and probably wise if you want to earn a living doing what you do We'll just set up a brick wall on the left side of midfield as a replacement for Gamst - at least the bricks know how to play a one-two.
EwoodGlory Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Are City going to pay £10m for Benjani? If so I'm in contact with Pompey fans all day at work and they don't really rate him that highly
Alan75 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 You would have read that in the Mirror this morning... Which you might be buying all next season if things work out. I never forget a promise... New Sponsors :!:
BRFCGrez Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 How many more for McDingles after Randall? We'll still get one.
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Are City going to pay £10m for Benjani? If so I'm in contact with Pompey fans all day at work and they don't really rate him that highly I'd take him in a minute...but it is very expensive. Spurs still want a striker. Interesting.
Al Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Oh how Nicko is loving the baiting of everyone on here, and yet people continue to pose questions and get upset with his replies. Hint, don't mention Burnley, then Nicko doesn't mention Burnley, its not hard to fathom. Absolutely right. He's just winding everyone up and we are letting him do it. Just ignore the posts about Burnley and he'll get tired of doing it.
PAFELL Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I'd take him in a minute...but it is very expensive. Spurs still want a striker. Interesting. Very interesting - possible Maccarthy to spurs and Huddlestone to Rovers?
