yellowsubmarine Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Ol Arry' is afraid we will get in front of them on the table I find Nelsen's interview baffling: "All the players loved Paul Ince" "He was a great guy" Harry is a dimwit.

JC4LAB Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Perhaps Incy himself was Ok and it was the muppet show he brought with him that was the problem...
Bobby G Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Ince wasnt ready for the huge jump. He wasnt tactically strong enough either. As a manager you are either a tactician or a motivator and if not both. If you are one then you must have a backroom that is the other. Mourinho had both. Ince I have my doubts if he was either...To be honest.
tchocky Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Clearly a motivator in that all the players allegedly loved him and he was never at training...
John Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I spoke to him a lot over the summer and I know he had to go through stringent procedures when he wanted to buy a player.
broadsword Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 How many CSE's how Steve McMananaman got? either he's plain thick or he's trying to put a good word in for Ince.
T4E Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Both - you'd have to be plain thick to think Ince deserves any good words put in for him. An absolutely unmitigated disaster from day one.
broadsword Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 So you'd have given him more time then? He was one MK Dons reserve from sorting it out. Other than that, the players just needed more laps of the training pitch and more press-ups. I think he'll go down as our worst-ever manager.
John Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Harry Redkanpp's comments yesterday got me angry. He seemed quite aggressive when making them. The infamous 'give him more time' notion. Well Harry, we are currently in our worst run of results since 1966, second bottom of the league, and have not won a game since late September. Harry commented that we have had 'a couple of bad results'. I would suggest people like him should shut their mouths when they are not in possession of the facts. At least his son Jamie is speaking bit more sense here.

I think Folwer was the first "oh dear" sign, and Andrews, Robinson works a little I guess, i'm not going on will be here all day but then Big Sam is the sort of manager that would try out a has been, and has had success too.

If we went down would Harry Redknapp be talking about Rovers? Of course not, he doesn't give a ######. ###### plonker. And his son's a @#/? too.
Martin Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Ultimately, Ince has an ego too big to be a success as a manager in the big league. For Ince to be a successful manager (in the top leagues) he'll have to surround himself with intelligent, qualified people. He simply won't be able to live with that. As a player he could fight his way out of a corner. He had no such luck as a manager. He looked awkward on the sideline, awkward in interviews, his suit was too big. The list of awkwardness is endless. He surrounded himself with sub-standard people and he got sub standard results. What has he given us?? Andrews, Grella, Robinson and Carlos. Gee, thanks Paul. He should have been binned long before now.

I think if Harry is so upset - he should offer his resignation to the Spuds board - after all they can't be very supportive dismissing Ramos so soon into the new season
broadsword Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Someone else commented that he has a vested interest in rovers continuing to do poorly, spurs aren't out of the woods yet. Couple of bad results? Six losses on the spin is more than a few.
Hughesy Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Funny how Redknapp didnt say anything about the tottenham board when he took over a position where they sacked there manager after about only 11 games, not 17. MUPPET!

What got me angry is how much time spuds gave Ramos this season after winning the Carling cup last season.I notice redcrap didn't complain about them, sorry he had been lined up for the job
philipl Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 The bottom line on Redknapp's comments must be this. The predicted relegation battle is not going to script except for WBA. @arry knows that players up their game for a new Manager (heck our lot got up to 3rd and 7th even under Ince at the season start) so Allardyce is just as likely to get Rovers to kick as he got Spurs to and Kinnear did at Newcastle and Sbragia is doing at Sunderland (Sunderland might even get two new Manager effects if Sbragia tails off and they get a permanent guy). So its going to be a toss-up for the 3rd relegation slot this year and if Rovers improve the 2nd as well. And boy, does he feel uncomfortable with that proposition. A Docklands lasagne could send them down this season!
philipl Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 The Sun has been talking to the players who were not impressed by the regime which has left. This could get messy.
John Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Another one who should keep his mouth shut.... Stoke manager Tony Pulis has described Blackburn's decision to sack Paul Ince as "ridiculous".
philipl Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Another one who should keep his mouth shut.... Stoke manager Tony Pulis has described Blackburn's decision to sack Paul Ince as "ridiculous". Excellent- stick that one on the dressing room wall on Saturday!
broadsword Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Another one who should keep his mouth shut.... Stoke manager Tony Pulis has described Blackburn's decision to sack Paul Ince as "ridiculous". PULIS DISMAYED BY INCE EXIT No shiznit, Sherlock, he was hoping for an easy 3 points. he's only had four months to show what he can do. Believe you and me, Tony, 4 months was more than enough for us to appraise the abilities of Paul.
Majiball Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Another one who should keep his mouth shut.... Stoke manager Tony Pulis has described Blackburn's decision to sack Paul Ince as "ridiculous". What it should say is this: Pulis is crapping it he had expected to be facing Mighty Ince and was banking on an easy 3 points, however a new man coming in will bouy the team and raise spirits. This will lower their chances and now he's all wound up about it. WATCH US SHUT YOUR MOUTH ON SATURDAY
Al Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Another one who should keep his mouth shut.... Stoke manager Tony Pulis has described Blackburn's decision to sack Paul Ince as "ridiculous". Just upset that what he had down as 3 easy points has just turned into a hard game for Stoke.

You've gotta wonder why they wanted Ince to be given more time...perhaps to make their jobs easier with us nailed on for relegation under him.
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Spurs are far from being out of the sh1t, Redknapp should concentrate on his own club/team.
