67splitscreen Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Hope he gets the No4 shirt. GOODWILLIE ........ 4 .......YOU
booth Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Here's hoping he's Charlie Adam and not Kris Boyd. Just be thankful it isn't ACTUALLY Kris Boyd.
USABlue Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I hope the medical goes well, sounds like this lad may be a bright prospect. I was amused to see the "personal terms" that held up the deal were actually down to Dundee U's percentage payment to him, not as the Rovers/Venky's as some were quick to point out. I thought myself it was personal greed so I too stand corrected. A warm welcome to Goodwillie, should all things pass without a hitch and may he be a success. Let the wise cracks begin.
Stevo Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Hopefully Goodwillie can fill the gaping hole that we have upfront.
Pom-rover Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Hopefully Goodwillie can fill the gaping hole that we have upfront. Classic!
den Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 The DU fans rate him as one of their best in over 50 years according to some, even better tha Gally at a similar age. Means nothing though. Plenty of Rovers fans rated Simon Garner as the best striker they'd ever seen at Ewood - but he wouldn't have been good enough in the top division.
otto man Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Keep it up Den. Make sure that there's not a single ray of sunshine in your life! Black, Black, it's all Black!
promoted2001 Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I just hope he can penetrate the goal unlike some of our other strikers!
Nelsta Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I'm just glad seaman has retierd. I could see goodwille sending seaman flying the wrong way.
den Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Keep it up Den. Make sure that there's not a single ray of sunshine in your life! Black, Black, it's all Black! I made a valid point. Sorry if it doesn't fit into your fantasy world Otto man. You had two options - give an alternative view, or have a dig at the poster.
broadsword Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I made a valid point. Sorry if it doesn't fit into your fantasy world Otto man. You had two options - give an alternative view, or have a dig at the poster. It got him some brownie points, so he'll be happy enough.

deryck guyler's spoon Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 It got him some brownie points, so he'll be happy enough. Diddums
koi Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Keep it up Den. Make sure that there's not a single ray of sunshine in your life! Black, Black, it's all Black! One for the Fast Show fans
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 It's hard not to mention the stature of the league he has been playing in but I will give the lad a chance if he comes. For those who watch him or Scottish football on a regular basis can he play a lone striker role? 5 ft 9 seems awfully short for a lead the line striker.
broadsword Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Diddums Another awe-inspiring contribution, I'll give you +1 for that.

Plenty of Rovers fans rated Simon Garner as the best striker they'd ever seen at Ewood - but he wouldn't have been good enough in the top division. 'All we are saying is give peace him a chance' Gally certainly left his mark in the Prem, some rate him as good at his age. It's their opinion just like yours on Garner, he never got the chance so we'll never know, this lad will.
Bobby G Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Is he only 5ft9? Looks so much bigger in the images I've seen. Short and stocky then.
rebelmswar Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Looks so much bigger in the images I've seen. Short and stocky then. The temptation........ Its killing me.
